Director, Product Marketing Summary

Your primary objective is to manage and grow the product marketing function at Temporal. You will design and build the strategies and systems of work for how we take products to market, enable our field organizations, and define the narrative for our portfolio of products, features, and partner integrations. As we strive to accelerate our growth in the coming years, we’re looking for an enthusiastic marketer to position and drive the success of our holistic platform strategy, grow an incredible team of high performers, and help deliver a brand new engineering paradigm to the developer community.


What You’ll Do

  • Own the overall go-to-market strategy for our corporate segment
    • TAM, market share, competitive assessment by category
    • ICP definition, persona research, Target audience definition and priorities,
    • ROI and proof of value
    • Growth levers across offerings, GTM, geos
    • Marketing strategy
    • Value proposition and messaging
  • Deliver systems of work to increase the velocity of features to market and supporting the Temporal ecosystem.
  • Partner closely with product management and sales segment leaders to build the relevant offerings to meet our customer’s demand and needs.
  • Develop deep knowledge and affinity with our customers, their personas, and sub-segments
  • Lead a growing team of product marketing leaders with a deep understanding of the corporate segment and our offerings across all product categories.
  • Stay abreast of industry news and events, industry analyst reports, and social activity to educate key internal constituents and drive awareness/demand;
  • Deliver key messages that enable our marketing team and PR agencies to execute relevant digital and event-based campaigns and programs.
  • Develop tools and training to support the full sales cycle. This includes product demonstrations, sales training and technical content, as well as delivering competitive intelligence to the field and marketing organizations and
  • Work closely with our tech partnership, alliances partnership, and product management teams to identify industry trends and amplify go-to market opportunities across our ecosystem.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years in product marketing leadership. Experience must include marketing highly technical products and technical fluency.
  • Experience building scaled PMM programs from the ground up.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with executives on corporate initiatives.
  • Experience building and reporting on impact metrics for PMM as a function.
  • Ability to coach and support PMMs as their roles grow and evolve.

Compensation

  • The estimated pay range for this role is $230,000 – $290,000
  • This role is eligible to participate in Temporal’s equity plan

Compensation ranges reflect salary and commission compensation (when applicable) across several geographic markets. Employment offers carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, knowledge, expertise, skillset, market location, and job level assessed during the interview process.
