Peter Millar

The Director of Social & Influencer Marketing is a newly created leadership role in the marketing team focused on expanding and elevating Peter Millar’s organic social and influencer strategy. This person will oversee social content development, creator engagement, cultural trend mapping, and drive brand relevance across platforms. The role will also oversee the strategic build out of Peter Millar’s influencer playbook. Reporting to the CMO, this role will bring strategic vision and creative execution to some of the brand’s most important consumer touchpoints.

This position is based in our Raleigh, NC office and requires in-person collaboration with the team.

Essential Functions

  • Lead strategy and execution of Peter Millar’s social and influencer channels (Including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.).
  • Own the content calendar, publishing strategy, and performance optimization across social platforms, and brand connects with consumers across sport and lifestyle.
  • Build and nurture a high-impact influencer program—seeding, storytelling, partnerships, and integration to campaign activations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Creative, Brand Marketing, and Ecomm to align content to product, seasonal, and cultural priorities.
  • Mentor and guide internal social team members and manage freelance/agency contributors as needed.
  • Identify platform trends, creator opportunities, and white space for the brand to show up with cultural relevance across golf, sport and lifestyle.
  • Drive reporting and insights to track KPIs, campaign effectiveness, and community growth.

Competencies

  • Deep fluency in platform best practices, short-form video, and social storytelling.
  • Strong creative instincts with the ability to brief and review elevated brand content.
  • Experience building or scaling influencer and creator programs across categories.
  • Organized and collaborative with strong project management and stakeholder communication.
  • Confident presenting strategy and reporting to senior stakeholders.

Desired Education And Experience

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in social and influencer marketing, ideally within sports lifestyle, fashion or premium brand sectors.
  • Track record of managing and growing brand social presence across multiple platforms.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Dash Hudson, CreatorIQ, Sprout Social, or similar.
  • Golf experience or passion is a must
