At Weisiger Group, we make smart investments in our company and that starts with our people. The marketing team plays a key strategic role in the success of delivering a superior customer experience. That is why we are looking for an Email Marketing Specialist who will be responsible for the email marketing strategy, creating, coordinating, and delivering targeted internal and external email communications to a wide variety of sectors and audiences in the construction and power industries. Using marketing automation and email marketing best practices, the goal is to increase engagement and generate leads by delivering personalized, timely, and tailored communications specific to the customer’s needs.
The ideal candidate is a strong designer who’s highly creative, collaborative, and enjoys a fast-paced work environment. They will report to the marketing automation supervisor and work collaboratively with department teams on email communication best practices as well as reporting on email KPIs.
Essential Functions include the following, other duties may be assigned.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute email campaigns for Carolina Cat and Weisiger Group, utilizing email marketing best practices. Perform render testing across devices, email clients, and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to ensure that emails render correctly for our subscriber base
- Responsible for managing and maintaining segmentation of distribution lists
- Own the email calendar for all customer-facing and employee-facing communications, including building, testing, and receiving approvals
- Assist in the development and execution of automated journey and drip campaigns
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with marketing and divisional teams to produce relevant communications that meet the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience
- Coordinate with marketing and divisional teams on planned external marketing campaigns and programs to provide support and execution of integrated marketing strategies
- Streamline email communication strategy to ensure communications are succinct and relevant with clear call-to-actions to drive optimal performance
- Responsible for improving all KPIs for email marketing, including deliverability, open rate, click rate, bounce rate, unsubscribe rate, and related business goals
- Executive presentations on the performance of our email marketing strategies may be required
Continuous Learning:
- Stay informed about emerging deliverability rules, trends, and behaviors in email design as well as technologies and applications that could enhance the dealership’s online presence and maximize ROI
- Stay informed about new releases and features available within the marketing automation platform

Qualifications

Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, Marketing, Design or related business study is required
- 3+ years of progressive experience in email creation and web/UX design. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable
- Excellent understanding of usability/user-centered design, UX methodology, design principles and corporate branding
- Must be fluent in HTML and CSS
- Experience with AMPscript and SQL is preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in design and content creation tools (Adobe Creative Cloud)
- Experience working in email marketing platforms (such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Exact Target, etc) is required
- Experience working in marketing automation software (such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Marketo, etc) is preferred, but not required
- Experience working in a customer relationship management (CRM) platform preferred, but not required
- Experience in customer journey mapping is preferred, but not required

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Specialist certification preferred, but not required.
