Job Summary

The hybrid Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the organization’s email marketing campaigns to maximize revenue, reduce churn, and increase the engagement of the member database. This role will focus on assisting in developing and executing data-driven marketing communications journeys for the organization’s various lines of business.

The Email Marketing Specialist will assist in utilizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ensuring that email communications are executed on time and within budget and that they achieve desired campaign targets. Working with cross-functional teams, the role will bring industry expertise and best practices to campaign planning and drive continuous improvement of campaigns across various lines of business and for both B2B and B2C markets in North America.

Job Location: Remote work is not available in AK, MT, HI (US) and Quebec, Nunavut, NW Territories, Yukon (Canada)

Main Responsibilities

  • Utilize HTML/CSS and email marketing best practices to create and code interactive experiences for email.
  • Develop/modify email templates and existing campaigns.
  • Ensure identical rendering across browsers, ESPs, and devices and troubleshoot HTML, CSS, and other performance issues.
  • Build and maintain customer journeys utilizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other tools with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Oversee day-to-day email campaign execution, including set-up, segmentation, scheduling, testing, tagging, deployment and reporting/analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and manage triggered/automated and transactional email programs.
  • Leverage insights from existing campaign performance and best practices to provide recommendations for ongoing optimization of campaigns and programs to meet and exceed desired outcomes throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Manage organizational deliverability rates and IP scores to optimize campaigns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of email marketing experience in B2C and B2B markets
  • 2-3 years’ experience in email design and coding (HTML/CSS)
  • Must have in-depth digital marketing knowledge with a passion for digital technologies and trends
  • An experienced team player with demonstrated success in inspiring and motivating direct reports, cross-functional teams, and external parties

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of HTML/CSS
  • Proficient in responsive email design and front-end development
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (formerly ExactTarget)
  • Experience with Figma (taking email designs from Figma and building them to completion in SFMC)
  • Working knowledge of SQL and AMPscript
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledgeable of email compliance regulations, a huge plus
  • Knowledgeable with Google Analytics, a huge plus
