The Global Brand Associate is responsible for overseeing a group of product categories and communicating on a regular basis with licensees for designated Brand Intellectual Property. In addition, you will navigate and track approvals within our Licensor’s Digital Rights Platform (MediaBox, LAS, etc) while working on new and exciting product lines fans love.

What You Will Do:

  • Work collaboratively with Jazwares’ product and packaging design teams, brand manager, and other internal stakeholders to manage the product submission and approvals process for a diverse portfolio of entertainment licensors.
  • Understand and master the different Licensors’ approval systems & software, while providing product or packaging feedback to licensor and internal cross-functional teams to ensure fast turnarounds.
  • Manage day to day information integrity between Jazwares’ team and licensor.
  • Be adaptable to shifting priorities and oversee the product development process closely to ensure development stages and ship dates are met.
  • Master the competitive landscape and provide feedback to help contribute to Jazwares’ product lines to create the best fit for the brand.
  • Brainstorm with internal and external teams to problem solve, troubleshoot, and to help bring innovative play experiences to market.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with our licensing partners and serve as a point of contact for communication and updates.
  • Work collaboratively with product design, packaging design, marketing, licensing, and other internal team partners to create a product that is the best fit for the brand
  • Assist and collaborate with Product Development Managers through all aspects of product development, from concept to market and ensure that concept phase and production phases align
  • Utilize project management software for assigned projects
  • Help coordinate design approvals with respective licensors and/or stake holders throughout the development process
  • Ensure that all outsourced work is quoted in a timely fashion and approved prior to work performed
  • Request and document 3D model costs, product unit costs and tooling costs as received from global Product Managers and suppliers
  • Assist in Interfacing with key vendors/suppliers and product managers, to ensure a smooth business process
  • Organize submission tracker for our accounts
  • Work with Brand Management and Design Teams to coordinate the timely creation and placement of development, photography and presentation models/samples
  • Oversee the influx of samples, organization of sample storage
  • Organize, photograph and catalogue all product samples
  • Work with Brand Management Team to develop competitive assessments and research trends to identify future opportunities and to develop product expansion strategies for successful product lines
  • Stay up to date with compliance/ style guides/ approvals through internal systems and external communication.
  • Work closely with the Director of Consumer Products on all projects and show proficient follow-through.
  • Provide timely feedback to the creative and design teams to assist in current product line innovations
  • Manage day-to-day social media updates, as well as tracking our products at market
  • Gather domestic and international field input on new and existing products
  • Solicit and incorporate sales input into the development of new products
  • Participate in key account calls, as needed
  • Work with Sales and Contract Manufacturing to proactively manage inventory (excess, backorders, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We Look For

  • 1-2 years of experience in brand, licensing, marketing or product management/development
  • Bachelor’s degree in industry relevant field preferred
  • 0-3 years of product development. project management, or related experience
  • A passion to learn about toys, play patterns and other trends in the industry!
  • Strong project management skills. Detail-oriented and strong organizational and time management skills while juggling multiple projects at once are required
  • Knowledge and experience of the product development process for consumer hard/soft goods is required. Experience in toys, licensing or related consumer products industry desirable.
  • Ability to thrive in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of the DRM (Digital Rights Management) systems a PLUS
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – an articulate speaker who knows how to read and engage an audience and is a strategic team player
  • Flexible with ability to pivot quickly from one project to the next at varying stages of development without losing track
  • Skilled in presentation composition and communications technology including PowerPoint and Google Slides
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office & G-Suite
  • Able to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
