As Manager of Email Marketing, you’ll lead the charge in crafting and executing strategies to drive engagement and revenue through email channels. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll oversee all aspects of email marketing, from strategy and creative development to analytics and optimization. Your expertise will be pivotal in maximizing efficiency, ensuring brand consistency, and driving innovation. Key responsibilities include managing ESP relationships, mentoring internal teams, and spearheading data-driven initiatives to enhance customer experience and revenue growth. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the organization’s email marketing strategy and cementing its digital leadership position.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with buyers, marketing, and design teams to identify and develop new email marketing opportunities, maintaining standardized branding.
- Develop and own high-level email program analytics, metrics, and reporting, presenting insights and findings to stakeholders.
- Possess deep expertise in all facets of email marketing, including strategy, creative development, deliverability, testing, segmentation, analytics, compliance, and coding.
- Regularly refactor and audit email processes to optimize effectiveness and efficiency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with external Email Service Provider (ESP), leading support calls and RFPs.
- Act as the email subject matter expert for multiple internal groups, driving process improvements.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to define and manage email projects, promoting the channel’s understanding.
- Identify and execute testing opportunities, from A/B to multivariate, to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide comprehensive training and advocate best practices across internal groups.
- Educate teams on new tools, industry trends, and coding developments.
- Troubleshoot all email issues, including templates, programs, API integrations, and segmentation.
- Drive revenue growth and expand lifecycle marketing programs.
- Manage teams and external communications, ensuring operational efficiency within deadlines.
- Develop micro-segmentation email strategies for additional revenue streams.
- Collaborate with the Email Director to expand the email list.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of marketing experience, with 5 years in email marketing.
- 1-2 years CRM experience
- Proven revenue generation through strategic email marketing.
- Strong leadership, cross-functional team management.
- Expertise in external communications for operational efficiency.
- Deep understanding of email marketing best practices and compliance.
- Proficiency in email tools, automation, CRM, and analytics.
- Skilled in troubleshooting complex email issues.
- Experience in comprehensive email testing.
- Dedicated to industry trends and brand consistency.
- Must be proficient in Photoshop, Excel and have HTML knowledge
This role requires three on-site days weekly to ensure in-person collaboration, improved communication, effective teamwork, and real-time problem solving to enhance team synergy and productivity. A standard 40 hour work week is expected.
The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $120,000. The rate will be determined based on overall skills and experience.
