Job Summary

VIZ Media, the world leader in English-language versions of manga and anime (Japanese comics and animation), is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Marketing Analytics Manager to join our team. The Marketing Analytics Manager is responsible for measuring, analyzing, and communicating the effectiveness of digital marketing initiatives across publishing and animation. This role partners closely with channel owners and senior marketing leadership to translate performance data into clear insights and actionable recommendations that support strategic decision-making and business outcomes.

As a key contributor within the marketing organization, this position ensures consistent measurement frameworks, reporting standards, and data integrity across campaigns and channels. The Marketing Analytics Manager plays a critical role in helping the organization understand what is working, what is not, and where to optimize marketing investment to best support VIZ Media priorities.

What you’ll do:

  1. Own the development, maintenance, and ongoing management of a centralized marketing campaign dashboard tracking performance across Product Marketing, Organic Social Media, and Paid Media, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and accessibility.
  2. Partner with marketing leadership to define dashboard requirements, standardized metrics, and reporting views aligned to business objectives and campaign goals.
  3. Develop and maintain a holistic measurement framework that integrates dashboard outputs into broader marketing reporting and analysis.
  4. Analyze campaign performance and translate data into clear insights, trends, and actionable recommendations.
  5. Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, presentations, and executive-ready summaries.
  6. Synthesize data across platforms to deliver cohesive performance narratives rather than siloed channel reporting.
  7. Partner closely with the Senior Manager, Paid Media and paid media buyers to support performance analysis, optimization strategies, and testing insights.
  8. Collaborate with Product Marketing and Organic Social teams to evaluate campaign and content effectiveness.
  9. Support test-and-learn initiatives by analyzing results and providing structured readouts with implications for future planning.
  10. Establish and document best practices for reporting cadence, metric definitions, and data usage.
  11. Identify gaps in tracking, tooling, or data availability and recommend improvements in collaboration with internal partners.
  12. From time to time, serve as a consultant to marketing teams on measurement strategy and performance insights.

The ideal candidate has:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing analytics, marketing performance, or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing analytics, performance marketing analysis, or marketing insights.
  • Strong understanding of paid media, organic social media, and product marketing performance metrics across various digital channels (social media, SEM, display advertising, etc.).
  • Past experience managing live reports via dashboarding tools like Looker, Domo, PowerBI, Supermetrics, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency with data analysis tools such as Google Analytics and spreadsheets.
  • Experience developing and presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience, with a record that demonstrates suitable preparation for this position

Additional preferred experience:

  • Knowledge of/interest in anime and manga/publishing/entertainment/home video fields
  • Prior experience supporting cross-channel marketing measurement in media, entertainment, publishing, or consumer brands.
