This individual will carefully balance responsibilities across the team to support marketing and email operations, B2B/sales enablement, and customer success.

This hybrid position is based in Education Week’s Bethesda, Md., office in the Washington DC metro area. The salary range for this position is $49,100.00 – $57,000.00/year.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and managing email programs and landing pages using EdWeek’s email service provider, while creating Salesforce.com campaigns and reports for B2B email efforts
  • Collaborate with internal departments to launch email marketing campaigns, ensuring timely and accurate execution
  • Assist the B2B leadership to create PowerPoint presentations that adhere to brand guidelines and regularly update marketing materials like sell sheets, graphics, and editorial calendar
  • Provide marketing support to B2B Marketing by conducting contact identification work to support sales lead generation and outreach efforts, entering new leads and contacts into Salesforce and reassigning leads from Salesforce reports
  • Write clear and engaging copy for customers and EdWeek readers
  • Demonstrate a detail-oriented eye for proofreading
  • Review the group subscription and membership requests and administrative tasks in JIRA daily and work with the Customer Success Manager to fulfill and complete tasks
  • Demonstrate ability to professionally interact with clients directly

Qualification, Knowledge And Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, sales, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience, or relevant work in digital marketing, communications, or similar fields
  • At least 1 year of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field (internships, part-time work or project work acceptable)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-focused
  • Competency in or ability to rapidly learn a broad technology suite, including Salesforce (CRM) Adobe Suite, Brightspot, Marketo, Iterable, Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to prioritize between projects, and communicate with manager accordingly
  • Strong desire and ability to embrace and learn new technologies
  • Willingness to try new things, ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
