The Opportunity

This position works on-site out of our Lake Forest, IL location in Molecular Diagnostics at Abbott.

Our molecular division delivers best-in-class innovative testing solutions for people around the world to provide answers to life’s critical health decisions. We help people live full and healthy lives through our accessible, molecular-based solutions.

What You’ll Work On

  • Manage, plan, and implement branding and communications projects in advertising, promotional programs, trade shows, digital, and mobile communications.
  • Develop product promotion plans in collaboration with product marketing and global market development teams.
  • Plan, create, and produce marketing, advertising, sales promotions, and digital tools to support brand strategies and marketing objectives.
  • Act as a brand champion, ensuring all communications are consistent and accurately support the brand strategy.
  • Provide channel strategy expertise to teams and recommend the most effective ways to deploy assets and materials to achieve marketing objectives
  • Providing graphic/design support to marketing team
  • Coordinate and support branding and marketing efforts globally as the central hub within the marketing organization
  • Initiate and manage schedules for projects and project milestones
  • Establish priorities for individual or project assignments
  • Create an annual communication plan and budget
  • Deliver all projects and campaigns on time and within budget.
  • Manage vendor agreements and work deliverables to meet defined business objectives
  • Partner with product management to:
    • Develop communication objectives and strategies
    • Determine and manage the project budget and production schedule

Brand and Compliance

  • Champion the Abbott brand in all materials, ensuring alignment with corporate brand standards
  • Support all company initiatives as identified by management, including:
    • Quality Management Systems (QMS)
    • Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
    • Other regulatory requirements
  • Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments
  • Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum 7 years related work experience with a complete understanding of specified functional area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare and med device industries preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable, successful multi-channel, sales-enabling campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SEO, SEM and social media best practices preferred.
  • Software package experience including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Figma, Adobe XD, WordPress, Adobe After Effects, Adobe InDesign, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite
  • MS Office: Word, PowerPoint
  • knowledge of regulatory requirements, company policies
  • Advertising & Social Media Concept/ Design, Motion Graphics, HTML/CSS Basics, UI Design, Brand Identity Development, Print Design
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.
  • Cross Functional B2B environment experience
  • Travel expected 10% and/or as necessary

This role is on site and is not remote nor hybrid. Relocation is not provided for this role currently.

The base pay for this position is $97,300.00 – $194,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
