Role Overview: As the Marketing & Communications Manager at Venture Lane, your mission is to strategically strengthen connections within the Venture Lane community and enhance the connection to the broader startup ecosystem through effective marketing strategies. This role involves managing digital marketing and communications, organizing in-person events, and facilitating one-to-one conversations and matchmaking. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in digital marketing, community building, event management, customer success, and facilities management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own marketing and communications for the accelerator and broader Venture Lane community, including newsletters, slack, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Manage social networking events, including monthly founder get-togethers and bi-annual sit-down dinners with founders and investors.
  • Ensure strategic partners are actively engaged with the community.
  • Provide excellent customer service and member management for the Venture Lane community, contributing to overall community vibrancy.
  • Oversee space operations, including access badge permissioning, mail and package room organization, and kitchen lounge stocking.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to recruit and manage interns.

Requirements:

  • Ability to write clear and compelling marketing communications across various channels (social media, slack, newsletters, email campaigns).
  • Customer success and support experience for coworking members, portfolio founders, and strategic partners.
  • Event management skills, including pre-event promotion, planning, and day-of logistics.
  • People management, working alongside the General Manager to recruit and manage interns.
  • Proficiency with common software applications like Google Drive, HubSpot, Canva, Slack, etc.
  • Knowledge of tech startups and venture capital is a plus but not required.
