This role serves as a key partner in executing and elevating the resort’s integrated brand communications strategy. The Marketing & Communications Manager will help oversee day-to-day public relations initiatives, social media management, and online reputation efforts, ensuring all communications align with the resort’s brand voice, creative standards, and business objectives. This is a hands-on, relationship-driven position that balances strategic thinking with creative execution. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, bring fresh ideas to the table, and work closely with the Director of Communications & Creative to deliver compelling content, meaningful media coverage, and measurable results that drive revenue and enhance brand equity

Responsibilities

Communications & Public Relations

  • Partner with the Director of Communications & Creative to develop, implement, and refine the resort’s PR and communications strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with agency partners to pitch media opportunities, craft story angles, and respond to inbound press inquiries.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with top-tier media outlets, journalists, influencers, and community partners.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media alerts, and key messaging documents, as fitting.
  • Manage the development and ongoing refresh of the resort press kit and media assets.
  • Coordinate and host on-property media visits, broadcasts, and photoshoots; prepare talent and spokespeople with talking points.
  • Support crisis communications planning and execution in alignment with brand guidelines.

Social Media & Brand Messaging

  • Execute the resort’s overall social media strategy, working in close collaboration with the Director of Communications & Creative.
  • Ensure cohesive brand storytelling across all digital platforms, with a focus on creative, high-quality, and engaging content.
  • Monitor trends and emerging platforms; recommend innovative approaches to expand reach and engagement.
  • Track and report on performance metrics to optimize content and strategy.
  • Strong understanding of Meta Ads and paid social media is a plus.
  • Maintain brand consistency through copywriting, editing, and quality control across all communication touchpoints.
  • Partner with the Director of Communications & Creative and Digital Marketing Manager to align PR, social media, and promotional initiatives with larger marketing campaigns.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate and execute special projects and tasks as needed.
  • Provide editing and copywriting as needed to support marketing initiatives.
  • This position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, attention to detail, excellent follow-through, expense management, professional presentation skills, strong organizational and planning skills, and an ability to collaborate with other professionals in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience in communications, PR, or social media management, preferably in hospitality or luxury lifestyle brands.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social media platforms, trends, and analytics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and content management systems (e.g., Sprout Social and Monday.com).
  • Creative eye for photography and videography as they relate to brand storytelling.
  • Proven success in media relations, including securing meaningful coverage.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events and media activations.

Compensation

Base Pay Start Rate: $70,000 – $80,000/Yr.
