Job Summary:
We are seeking a Marketing Content Lead to join the Product Marketing team, with a primary focus on supporting BNY’s platforms business. This role will be instrumental in shaping and executing marketing content strategies that drive measurable commercial success, highlight the firm’s differentiation, and position BNY as a thought leader across custody, liquidity, and investment services.
This is a full-time contract opportunity based in New York City, Pittsburgh, or Remote with collaboration across U.S. and U.K. teams. The role requires balancing content creation, stakeholder management, and strategic planning to deliver against platform-level go-to-market priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy: Develop and execute marketing content strategies that align with platform go-to-market priorities and business goals, with a clear focus on commercial impact.
- Messaging & Positioning: Build and refine product positioning and messaging that resonates with clients, prospects, and the broader market.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, sales, relationship management, and marketing specialists to create impactful content across multiple channels.
- Enterprise Campaigns: Collaborate with enterprise marketing teams to support thought leadership campaigns, regulatory initiatives, and firm-wide programs.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to 2026 content planning and go-to-market strategy, ensuring alignment across global teams in the U.S. and U.K.
- Content Creation: Develop external-facing deliverables including articles, programs, and campaign assets to reinforce BNY’s industry leadership.
- Work Allocation: Balance responsibilities across content creation (~50%), stakeholder management (~30%), and strategic planning (~20%).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Content creation across multiple channels: thought leadership, websites, newsletters, white papers, and articles
- Stakeholder management experience, both internal and external
- Proven experience in product marketing or content marketing within financial services; investment marketing strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in developing product positioning, messaging, and content strategies tied to commercial outcomes.
- Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills; ability to craft thought leadership narratives and engage executive stakeholders.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale campaigns, regulatory programs, and industry thought leadership initiatives.
- Knowledge of custody, fund administration, liquidity, or related investment ecosystem areas is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and collaborate effectively across regions and functions.
Preferred Experience:
- Generalist marketing and content marketing background with emphasis on external content creation (beyond repurposing).
- Experience contributing to thought leadership articles, regulatory programs, or enterprise-wide campaigns.
- Familiarity with Workfront or other workflow/project management tools.
- Exposure to AI tools for content development and optimization.
- Comfort operating in a global, matrixed environment across U.S. and U.K. teams.
