Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and optimize marketing campaigns across email, social, events, advertising, community engagement, and more.
- Plan and execute our annual developer conference, managing logistics, promotions, onsite support, and post-event follow-up.
- Write, proofread, edit, and publish content across various channels to ensure brand consistency and clear messaging.
- Analyze campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement, sharing insights with key stakeholders.
- Conduct research to identify and validate marketing opportunities such as events, speaking engagements, advertising placements, and more.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and developer relations teams to grow and engage our community.
- Track and manage budget, including processing invoices and expenses.
- Assist with additional marketing projects as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of marketing experience, ideally in a fast-paced startup or tech company.
- Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented; you can handle multiple projects and shifting priorities without missing a beat.
- Proven experience in planning and managing events, including logistics, promotions, onsite coordination, and post-event follow-up.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical skills; you know how to build effective reports and use data to drive decisions and optimize performance.
- Proactive, self-starter who takes initiative and continuously looks for ways to add value.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Proficient in marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Hubspot, Webflow, and more.
- Ability to travel as necessary.
Bonus Points
- Understanding of the shipping industry, oceanography, and/or meteorological data.
- Basic understanding of HTML.
- Basic understanding of photo/video editing software like Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and/or Adobe Premiere.
Estimated Salary Range
- $60,000 – $80,000.
