The Role
We are seeking a versatile Marketing & Creative Content Specialist who lives at the intersection of strategy and design. You will be the visual voice of the club, responsible for everything from high-impact social media campaigns to professional pitch-side photography and sleek graphic design. Your goal is to increase club visibility, drive program registrations, and capture the energy of our match days and community events.
Key Responsibilities
- Graphic Design & Brand Identity
- Design high-quality digital and print assets, including social media graphics, tournament flyers, club brochures, and stadium signage.
- Ensure all visual content aligns with the Virginia Revolution brand guidelines (modern, professional, and bold).
- Create pitch decks for potential sponsors and partners.
- Social Media Management
- Own the content calendar for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X (Twitter).
- Manage “Live” coverage during major tournaments and club events to engage our 3,000+ member community.
- Monitor engagement, respond to community inquiries, and stay ahead of viral sports trends.
- Content Marketing & Storytelling
- Capture on-site photography and short-form video (Reels/TikToks) at practices and games.
- Write engaging copy for weekly newsletters, blog posts, and website updates.
- Collaborate with coaching directors to highlight player success stories and “Player of the Month” features.
- Campaign Execution
- Lead the marketing efforts for seasonal program launches (Academy, Travel, Camps, and Recreational leagues).
- Track and report on the performance of digital campaigns, using data to optimize future outreach.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in marketing or content creation (sports industry experience is a major plus).
- Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) or Canva Pro.
- Strong photography and video editing skills (mobile or DSLR).
- Experience with Email Marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
- Attributes: * A “game-day” mentality: You are comfortable working occasional weekends or evenings to capture the action.
- A passion for youth sports and community building.
