Marketing Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management and Marketing and other key stakeholders to formulate comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the institution’s enrollment targets and long-term objectives.
- In partnership with the AVCEMM, design, build and maintain our brand with a plan that is heavy on digital marketing and other extremely measurable tactics.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan in collaboration with the AVCEMM and other stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive marketing plans for the institution and its units that encourage research based, market driven programming as well outcome evaluation including cost and effectiveness measures for marketing initiatives.
- Drive the development of print, web, social media, digital, video and other materials to support the marketing plan.
- Review, evaluate and implement data driven process and performance changes to improve quality, accuracy and timeliness of marketing and communication functions.
- Analyze market trends and critical measurements of productivity and customer service to implement marketing operational strategies.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, potential markets, and competitor activities, utilizing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
Branding and Communication:
- Build, enhance, and promote the UWO brand.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the institution’s brand identity and ensure consistent messaging across all marketing materials and platforms.
- Manage the creation and distribution of engaging and informative marketing content to attract prospective students and promote the institution’s unique strengths.
- Lead access campus marketing strategies for brand alignment with overall institution priorities.
Collaboration and Relationship Building:
- Foster partnerships with external organizations and agencies to accomplish our plan- fully leveraging our contracts.
- Liaison to UW System officials regarding issues related to marketing.
- Collaborate with administrators, faculty and staff to advance unit marketing priorities.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the marketing budget for the enrollment management department, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, develop, and supervise a professional and motivated marketing team in their daily work and provide professional and strategic direction of the unit.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.
- Exercise supervisory authority including hiring transferring suspending promoting managing conduct and performance discharging assigning rewarding disciplining and/or approving hours worked of the team members.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exemplary record of progressively responsible administrative experience in marketing, public relations or the communications field;
- Proven success in developing and implementing both short- and long-term integrated marketing communications goals and strategies;
- Proven success in developing and implementing a robust content strategy that advances the organization’s brand;
- Demonstrated experience managing budgetary resources; developing and implementing strategies that maximize investment and outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in providing accountabilities and measurable outcomes;
- Knowledge of new and emerging communications technologies and how they can be integrated with more traditional methods including web, marketing automation, social media, and digital strategy;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Documented ability to research, identify, analyze and implement best practices;
- Demonstrated leadership in change and transition management;
- A tolerance for ambiguity with the ability to negotiate with stakeholders who have diverse needs;
- Supervisory experience, including leading teams through change;

Qualifications
Required:
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in marketing, preferably in higher education or enrollment management.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing marketing strategies that lead to increased enrollment and student engagement.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing techniques and analytics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Leadership experience, including managing teams and budgets.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Experience in working within higher education marketing.
- Proven success in recruitment as a result of marketing material produced.
