As the Marketing Manager for Belts and Chain, your primary purpose is to drive the success of the branding for Diamond Drives, Timken Belts, and Ultimax. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that enhance brand visibility, stimulate sales growth, and solidify our market position.

 

Your focus will be on creating and implementing comprehensive marketing plans, innovative tools, and promotional campaigns to effectively position our products in the competitive industrial landscape. Through market research, strategic planning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in fostering customer relationships, optimizing online presence, and ensuring the success of product launches and trade show participation. Additionally, your management responsibilities involve overseeing the department’s operational and fiscal activities, contributing to the professional development of your team, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Segment Marketing Plans:

  • Develop and implement marketing plans and programs to stimulate sales growth.

Marketing Tools Development

  • Develop innovative marketing tools, product brochures, catalogs, and services to support the sales organization.

Brand Enhancement

  • Develop and implement specific marketing programs to increase and enhance the Diamond Drives, Timken Belts Carlisle, and Ultimax brands.

Market Research And Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies.
  • Analyze data to make informed decisions and recommendations.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Create and execute marketing plans to achieve sales targets.

Product Positioning And Branding

  • Define and enhance the positioning of Diamond Drives, Timken Belts, and Ultimax components in the market.
  • Develop and manage the brand image for the product lines.

Product Launch And Promotion

  • Plan and execute impactful product launches, including promotional campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure effective product promotion.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and clients.
  • Gather customer feedback to enhance products and services.

Sales Support

  • Provide the sales team with the necessary tools and materials for effective selling.
  • Develop sales collateral, presentations, and other support materials.

Digital Marketing

  • Utilize digital marketing channels such as social media, email, and online advertising.
  • Optimize online presence and engagement to reach the target audience.

Trade Shows And Events

  • Plan and coordinate the company’s participation in trade shows and industry events.
  • Represent the company and showcase products to potential customers.

Budget Management

  • Develop and manage the marketing budget to ensure cost-effective strategies.
  • Monitor expenses and allocate resources efficiently.

Marketing Communications

  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, catalogs, and website content.
  • Ensure consistent and effective messaging across all communication channels.

Competitive Analysis

  • Monitor competitor activities and industry trends.
  • Adjust marketing strategies based on competitive intelligence.

Data Analytics

  • Use data analytics to measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions.

Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and customer support.

Management Responsibilities

  • Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the department, including staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.
  • Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation.
  • Coach and provide career development advice to staff by establishing employee goals and conducting performance reviews.
  • Responsible for staff scheduling, work assignments/rotations, employee training, vacations, breaks, overtime, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources for appropriate staffing levels.
  • Schedule and conduct department meetings to meet productivity and quality goals.
  • Communicate with Supervisors, Managers, and Vice Presidents on Department operations.
  • Travel as needed.

Required Education And Experience

  • Experience in supervising project and team activities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Five or more years of successful management experience which includes supervisory responsibility.
  • Experience with fiscal activities such as staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.
  • Proven record of continual improvement in areas of expertise.
  • Proven track record of driving results and continuous improvement in an organization.
  • Experience in developing high-performance teams.
  • Practical knowledge of leading edge lean/six sigma strategies.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to deal with and manage multiple projects.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop people.
