Merlin Entertainments, the global leader in attractions and entertainment, is seeking a Marketing Manager for our Orlando Attractions (Madame Tussauds, SEA LIFE Aquarium and the Orlando Eye) located at ICON Park to deliver the attractions marketing plan in line with brand values and business strategy driving both revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
About the Role: As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives commercial objectives, increases revenue, and enhances guest experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including central marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure the marketing plan aligns with both brand values and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the annual marketing plan across all disciplines (pricing, media, online, and trade) to achieve key financial and commercial results.
- Drive audience insights to increase market share, attract new visitors, and encourage repeat visits through tailored marketing initiatives.
- Plan and execute site promotions, advertising campaigns, and online/digital marketing activities that engage target audiences and generate measurable ROI.
- Collaborate with central marketing teams to ensure all activities align with the overarching brand strategy.
- Work with General Manager and Finance Managers to forecast admissions, revenue, and performance, adjusting strategies as needed to meet business objectives.
- Partner with the Operations team to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize in-attraction spending.
- Provide insightful, data-driven marketing reports to leadership, highlighting campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Oversee online sales strategies to drive traffic and conversions via website optimization and digital marketing efforts.
Qualifications And Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least one year of experience developing and implementing marketing strategies, ideally within the attractions or hospitality industry.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including macros), MS Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of managing budgets and agencies.
- Knowledge of data forecasting a plus!
- Influencer knowledge a plus!
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Have a creative and fun approach to marketing with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
