Our Network office is located at 401 W. 218th St., New York, NY 10034. Our Network team follows a hybrid work schedule: we work in-person from our office on Tuesdays and Thursdays with optional remote days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, if your team’s scope of work permits.

To achieve our vision, we are searching for a Marketing Manager to, in close partnership with the director of marketing, oversee various marketing activities to support student and talent recruitment, fundraising efforts, advocacy campaigns, and other organizational initiatives.


The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of professional experience; Management consulting and/or advertising experience strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate meaningful insights
  • Superb organizational and project management skills; Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfort in learning new tools and platforms; eagerness to learn and grow
  • Experience in marketing, media planning and/or client services partnering with creatives and media vendors preferred, but not required
  • Experience in charter schooling or other mission-driven, fast-growth organizations preferred, but not required

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage Zeta’s marketing assets, from brief to implementation (e.g., creating media plans, buying local traditional media such as print, out-of-home), to ensure engaging content is delivered across target audiences.
  • Co-design, plan, and execute marketing campaigns and digital marketing initiatives, including website improvements, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), social media marketing, and online advertising
  • Track performance and monitor, analyze, and report on metrics and KPIs across marketing initiatives to assess and manage effectiveness. Use insights to inform future strategies and media mix adjustments to optimize ROI
  • Manage marketing projects, collaborating with external partners (e.g., agencies, photographers, designers, etc.) and coordinating with internal teams
  • Support Marketing Director in creating and codifying scalable processes to produce and distribute assets across owned and paid platforms
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the current digital media landscape, and Zeta’s target audiences, allowing our advertising to stay on top of the latest media trends. Build expertise on lead generation, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), website best practices
  • Wear multiple hats as a part of a lean startup-up team, supporting the work of others on the team and taking on new projects and tasks as needed

We are accepting applications on a rolling basis. The salary range is between $75,000 and $90,000. New hires can expect to be brought into the organization at a salary at or near the start of the ranges, depending on relevant experience and internal equity. Compensation is based on our salary scales. Managers and above are eligible to receive an annual discretionary, merit-based performance bonus.
