MAIN FUNCTIONS

Marketing

  • Understand the product portfolio and positioning of different products in relation to each other, competitors’ product and alternative solutions to support the sales process.

  • Determine positioning and the value proposition for the product portfolio for the aroma ingredients and the offering for personal care.

  • Responsible for marketing budget and planning including all initiatives, digital as well as non-digital, banners, posters, campaigns etc.

  • Making sure there is a red thread from R&D to marketing and commercial, that R&D results are properly used in communication and sales team have the proper training and understanding to communicate these results to customers/market.

  • Review clinical studies and technical papers to extract information for use in marketing materials.

  • Produce the technical information required to produce marketing materials and keeping them up to date and relevant (e-guides, brochures, presentations) in coordination with Commercial, product manager and R&D teams and according to the global LBI for the aroma ingredients and personal care.

  • Co-organize the internal and external events (seminars, tradeshows etc.) of the Health segment, in coordination with the Marketing Assistant.

  • Prepare the technical content of documents and presentations given at meetings and seminars.

  • Join the Commercial team for customer meetings, trade shows, seminars etc. and delivers presentations on various topics and new developments to key stakeholders, as needed.

Product and Application Expertise

  • Work closely with Sales, R&D, product manager and external stakeholders to develop new products and applications in line with customer requirements and as defined with business management.

  • Identify market needs and trends and initiate projects for new solutions development.

  • Provide direction for the development of new products and the continuous improvement of the existing portfolio.

  • Work with R&D and product manager to evaluate clinical studies, results and conclusions for marketing purposes.

  • Provide appropriate technical training to the commercial team, distributors and end-users in collaboration with product manager.

  • Provide support to the Applied R&D team to convert R&D reports into customer reports.

  • Work with Regulatory and Quality to support Sales and customer inquiries and concerns.

  • Communicate with other business units (e.g. LHS) to adapt their knowledge/ expertise to Personal Care and Aroma Ingredients where applicable.

  • Ownership of the TDS as a marketing tool.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Required

  • Master in Science in related field Microbiology, Biochemistry and/or Marketing degree, MBA with marketing focus
