Gamma Phi Beta International Sorority

Under supervision of the director of marketing, this position is primarily responsible for managing the organization’s website, social media platforms and email marketing software by developing, evaluating, promoting and implementing the marketing of Sorority programs and initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

 

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop, implement and execute interactive campaigns, including email marketing, social media and web campaigns.
  • Manage the development and execution of digital marketing strategies (web, social and video) and materials for Sorority programs and initiatives.
  • Manage social media campaigns, presence and day-to-day activities, including creating and maintaining social media editorial calendar and schedules, conceptualizing designs and writing captions.
  • Manage Sorority website, including daily maintenance and enhancements.
  • Manage email marketing and mass email schedule, including designing, HTML creation, testing and dissemination using the Sorority’s mass email system.
  • Promote brand awareness within the Sorority through all publications, events and marketing efforts.
  • Stay abreast of current trends to further the reputation of the organization in the fraternal and nonprofit communities and provide trend analysis upon request.
  • Source member stories to be used in marketing and communications materials.
  • Serve as a member of the Marketing department.
  • Provide assistance as needed within the department.
  • Prepare annual budget recommendations
  • Utilize department personnel as support for position’s projects.

Education/Experience

 

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Computer Skills

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in: Internet software; social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube), spreadsheet software (Excel); word processing software (Word); electronic mail software (Outlook); Presentation software (PowerPoint); project management software; website content management systems and email marketing software.

 

Other Skills, Abilities and Qualifications

  • Strong analytical thinking and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, content management and email marketing software.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, analytics and strategies.
  • Preferred knowledge of website content management systems like Kentico and email marketing software like Informz by Higher Logic.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of graphic design tools, like Canva. Experience with graphic design is preferred, but not required.
  • Professional, outgoing, guest-service oriented manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay abreast of marketing trends in higher education and fraternal organizations.
  • Detail-oriented and effective work practices under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
  • Understanding of nonprofit organizations and/or working with volunteers.

This position is eligible for remote employment.

 

Benefits and Compensation

 

Compensation is commensurate with experience, education and location. The hiring range for this role is $50,000 to $60,000 annually. Gamma Phi Beta offers a full benefits package with an excellent paid-time off package that includes 12 days of vacation plus sick time, personal days, holidays and two weeks of additional paid-time off over the office’s winter break. Benefits include health, life, disability, vision and dental insurance coverage and participation in Gamma Phi Beta’s 401(k) plan after a year of eligible.
