Role Description

  • Drive, steer and implement HELM Agro US strategy based on key crops and core segments
  • Develop and implement the one to three-year marketing strategy for assigned product portfolio
  • Develop business plans, identify, and analyze market opportunities and risks
  • Define product positioning and unique value proposition and key performance indicators
  • Participate in the portfolio development and coordinate discovery of opportunities in alignment with Sales and Innovation teams
  • Coordinate customer level forecasts through sales team to build monthly SOP forecast, annual budgets, and five-year projections
  • Lead and coordinate assigned portfolio with cross functional teams such as sales, innovation, regulatory, operations, and senior management
  • Coordinate marketing communications strategy for assigned profile to create awareness, education, and demand at all customer levels
  • Coordinate support for local marketing related to demand creation, branding and in-season programs and campaigns, as well launch preparation in alignment with company objectives and guidelines
  • Participate and assist in third party relationships as needed to build, implement, and enhance assigned portfolio
  • Participate in portfolio development and rationalization alongside HELM Phase Gate process
  • Regional lead of key assets and product portfolio

Required Skills

  • Experience of portfolio management, marketing, and sales, preferably within the crop protection industry, with experience in identifying customer requirements, defining, and managing tailored go-to-market and sales strategies, creation of win-win partnerships with channel partners
  • Ability to manage change
  • Experience in selling and marketing of crop protection products, services, and solutions to growers and to partners along the value chain
  • General commercial business and IT skills
  • Strategic mindset to be able to identify future market trends and needs to effectively position the company and products against the competitors while evaluating risks and business trade-offs
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Ability to quickly develop relationships and generate trust with stakeholders
  • Experiences in regional and local teams, interdisciplinary teams, crop teams

INDIVIDUAL TASKS

  • Driving portfolio strategy in targeted crops, following the Helm Agro US crop protection strategy
  • Overview of pricing, price corridors and profitability improvement agreed for assigned portfolio
  • Review and update competitor, crop, and market analysis
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of their strategic crops and product segments
  • Develop and implement product marketing initiatives to increase demand, pricing, and customer loyalty, raising of awareness of assigned portfolio
  • Develop and lead the marketing strategy and its successful implementation of assigned portfolio
  • Driving budget and strategic forecast process and monitor marketing objectives (KPI fulfillment)
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of marketplace, key dynamics, and company policies:
  • Competitors and their likely strategies, business intelligence and competitive analysis
  • Preparing/creating new business opportunities including third party products and potential acquisitions
