As a leading cannabis brand now operating in MA, NJ and NY, Fernway is growing rapidly and seeking a dynamic marketing professional to join our growing team.

We are seeking an individual who is team oriented, hard-working, and passionate about all aspects of Social Media. In this essential role, you will help further build, grow, and maintain our social presence, fostering community engagement, and supporting the overall marketing efforts in-sync with corporate goals and the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand visibility and traffic across all social platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications.

Content Creation and Management

  • Plan, create, publish, and share engaging content daily (e.g., original text, photos, videos, and news).
  • Oversee the creation and management of all published content (images, video, written, and audio/podcast).
  • Write, edit, support email marketing campaigns.
  • Eventually, write & distribution SMS campaigns.

Brand Representation

  • Ensure brand consistency in marketing and social media messages by working with various company departments.
  • Craft and maintain the brand voice on social platforms.

Community Engagement

  • Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales.
  • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight into traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes.
  • Compile reports for management showing results (ROI).

Advertising

  • Design, create and manage promotions and social ad campaigns, being sure to integrate with the company’s overall marketing campaign plan and channels.

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Work with other departments to develop social media timelines coinciding with new product releases, ad campaigns, or other brand messages.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product development teams.

Crisis Management

  • Manage social media crisis situations and coordinate with the crisis team to ensure consistency in messages.

Budget Management

  • Manage the budget for social media activities.
  • Allocate specific budgets for campaigns and monitor spending.

Networking and Partnerships

  • Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals and influencers.

Policy and Compliance Management

  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations in all social media activities.

SEO Integration

  • Work to improve social media’s impact on overall marketing efforts, including SEO integration.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

  • 3+ years of social media, marketing and content experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent program.
  • Strong time-management skills.
  • Highly approachable & friendly personality.
  • A high degree of integrity and ethical conduct at all times.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Linkedin
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva and WordPress a plus.
