Position Summary: The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the marketing and communication strategies and plans set forth by the Vice President of Marketing and Support Services. The manager serves as the internal and external communication lead person and actively ensures that local media relationships are positive and beneficial to the growth and positioning of Great Plains Health.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Baccalaureate degree in marketing, public relations, or a business-related field or relative years of experience.
  • Credentials: Current driver’s license.

  • Sit frequently.
  • Lift 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Push and/or pull 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Carry 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Reach 4 inches-shoulder occasionally.

Essential Functions:

  1. Manages the day-to-day operations of the marketing and communication department.
  2. Develops positive working relationships with media representatives, community leaders, physicians, senior leaders, directors, and employees.
  3. Manages the marketing, advertising, and public relations functions of assigned service lines, departments, clinics, and/or projects and ensures that respective marketing and communication plans are implemented each year.
  4. Serves as the lead internal communication agent, developing and distributing the CEO newsletter and ensuring GPOnline and GPTV announcements occur on schedule.
  5. Cultivates print, broadcast, digital media, and vendor opportunities, ensuring the best value for corporate advertising purchases.
  6. Serves as a web content expert for gphealth.org, employing new innovations to the site and ensuring information is current and accurate.
  7. Strengthens and protects the Great Plains Health brand through strict adherence to brand standards, quality writing, and the coordination of professional design.
  8. Stays current with trends, innovations, issues, and best practices in marketing and public relations and the healthcare industry.
  9. Serves as an active and consistently visible public relations ambassador of Great Plains Health.
  10. Complies with hospital policies and embodies the Great Plains Health standards of behavior.
  11. Aids in the success of all Great Plains Health events.
