The Ivy Group seeks a strategic communications professional. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for, you guessed it, managing marketing projects, including serving as a client’s primary point of contact, planning and executing campaigns, and keeping up with the ever-changing marketing landscape.
The ideal candidate takes pride in a job well done, lends a critical yet collaborative eye, and nimbly pivots from one project to another.
This position is full time, in person in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of performance-driven communications campaigns
- Develop impactful marketing strategies: seek and evaluate critical information, ideate, and iterate
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, team members, and vendors
- Effectively communicate with team members: provide clear direction and valuable feedback, ensuring the highest quality standards are met
- Ensure smooth client management; set agendas, structure and facilitate collaborative discussions, create actionable meeting notes, and integrate client feedback and preferences
- Plan and oversee all project details, including budget, timeline, deliverables, and resource allocation
- Expertly set and actively manage budgets using Excel or other budget management tool
- Manage the preparation of informative, readable reports; gauge impact and recommend next steps
- Scope, draft, and manage proposals in response to prospect inquiries
- Prepare, negotiate, and execute media schedules for traditional and digital advertising campaigns (radio, TV, print, digital display, paid search, etc.)
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of marketing channels, practices, and trends, including local media outlets and digital advertising platforms
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Knowledge of marketing channels and best practices, including Google Ads, social media platforms, email marketing platforms, search engine optimization, and traditional media
- Ability to tackle complex tasks independently with sound judgment, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence
- Exceptional project management, time management, and organizational skills
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Strategic, analytical, and creative thinking skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Enthusiasm for collaborating with coworkers and clients to deliver the best work possible
