About the Role:

 

As a Marketing Manager at Facet, you will initiate and maintain client and staff contacts in long-range market planning, public relations and business development strategies. You will also oversee proposal preparation, RFP and RFQ responses, and lead interview preparation. This role also creates and monitors a marketing budget and reports to company leadership on marketing activities. You will report to the President of Facet while leading a multidisciplinary team.

 

This position is hybrid and requires work out of Facet’s corporate office in Seattle 2 days per week, with 3 days desired. Infrequent travel to surrounding offices in Kirkland, Spokane, Mount Vernon, Whidbey, and Federal Way expected.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Planning

  • Strategic Marketing Planning: Develop and execute marketing strategies that align with service development and business goals, focusing on solutions driven by Facet’s civil and structural engineering, landscape architecture, long-range planning, natural resources, arborist, and other professional service sectors.
  • Provide direction and strategy for the overall marketing staff. Hold Staff meetings to coordinate workload and delivery of RFQ’s, RFP’s, and SOQ’s.
  • Lead internal marketing efforts, including brand advocacy, event campaigns, and partnership with HR on employee recognition.
  • Market Analysis and Reporting: Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape; use insights to inform service development and marketing strategies.

Performance Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, sales metrics, and customer feedback to continually optimize marketing efforts.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels (digital, social media, events) to promote engineering solutions and drive lead generation.
  • Work collaboratively with product management, and customer support teams to ensure a cohesive approach to market challenges and opportunities.

Content Development

  • Create engaging content (project approach, website, and social media) that highlights Facet’s professional services and benefits, targeting both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Compose, develop, evaluate, and conduct training on marketing activities, strategies, and policies.

Supervisory Duties

  • Hire, direct, support and motivate marketing staff.
  • Monitor current campaigns, ensuring their staff meets deadlines and complete necessary tasks.
  • Lead marketing and technical staff in the creation of proposals, blog posts, and articles.
  • Delegate tasks according to team member talents and needs of the business.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Required:
  • 10 years of marketing experience in the service sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications, business, or a related field OR 4 years of additional marketing experience.
  • Proven track record of successful marketing in the architectural and engineering space.
  • Background in proposal execution.
  • Desired
  • More than 10 years of marketing experience in a consulting environment.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Prioritize and organize a wide range of duties.
  • Strong understanding of Facet’s service offerings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Responsive to clients, staff and company leadership.
  • Represent the company well in social situations.
  • Work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiar with digital marketing tools and CRM systems. (Experience with Vantagepoint and InDesign desired.)

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $110,000 – 130,000/yr., full-time
