The Marketing Specialist is responsible for assisting the branding initiatives within the Consumer Brands portfolio. The role requires a strategic thinker who will participate in and contribute to the development and execution of communication campaigns across all advertising mediums. This includes assisting in developing and executing strong brand stories that communicate the brand promise, vision and position that support the brands marketing objectives, increase brand awareness, drive conversion and consumer demand.
This position will support the overall business team, specific brand team, and work closely with cross-functional teams such as Digital, Channel, Sales, Product, Marcom and Legal, as well as, outside agency partners. Additionally, this position will provide support for branding initiatives for our other brands as needed.
This role also requires a base understanding of the following and will assist in all aspects of marketing communications for the brand including: brand planning, digital marketing, public relations, product launch support, commercialization and maintenance, budgeting, sales reporting, social media, stage gate process and internal databases.

Responsibilities
- Contributes to the development of strategic brand plans, ensuring that creative delivers a consistent brand message & marketing communication which includes websites, merchandising, collateral material, and social entities.
- Assists with developing, reviewing and supporting key digital brand initiatives, such as retailer support, social media content reviews, influencer programs and website updates.
- Contributes to the development and subsequent execution of short- and long-term strategic plans, including business performance analysis, strategic objectives, tactical plans, and budgeting.
- Develops superior working relationship with key individuals and groups that work in this category to effectively build relationships with critical cross-functional team members including: Digital, Customer Marketing, Sales, Finance, Marketing Services, IT, Legal, etc.
- Interfaces with outside agencies and multiple groups inside organization
- Utilizes strong understanding of customer needs and challenges to execute marketing programs for the key retailers/channels
- Researches competitive landscapes and monitor trends in the industry and related industries.
- Participates in customer business meetings

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Required:
- Minimum 1 year prior Marketing experience
- Must demonstrate a working knowledge of the marketing mix
- Self-starter and high level of professionalism and attention to detail

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
- Ability to motivate cross-functional teams
- Must show demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and have a strong desire to work in a fast-paced and demanding team environment

- Knowledge of or ability to learn new technology systems like Office 365 and invoicing systems –
- Knowledge of or ability to learn internal databases including Coupa, Allocadia, Basecamp, Workforce etc.
- Preferred:
- Previous marketing experience in Consumer Brands Group
