Gensler is currently seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist. This is a senior position within our team, requiring at least five years’ experience. It spans both strategic and production work, and requires a thoughtful, proactive approach and strong project management and client relationship skills.

Marketing at Gensler is a communications-based discipline. We are not looking for digital marketers, SEO experts, or anyone focused on sales. We drive the development of qualifications, proposals, presentations, and other deliverables that help us secure b2b opportunities, both print documents and electronic ones across multiple platforms. We look for a very high level of skill with InDesign, a good graphic eye, a love of the industry, a talent for telling stories about it, and an outstanding ability to partner with our principals and studio directors in your assigned business sector.

What You Will Do

Work with principals, senior staff, and other marketing team members, as needed, to design, write, and produce proposals, presentations, and other marketing collateral in alignment with brand standards

  • Participate in and champion strategy and planning sessions
  • Develop new materials to support business development activities
  • Perform multiple marketing efforts against rapid and frequent deadlines
  • Gain comprehensive understanding of Gensler’s portfolio of work, practice areas, and firm wide capabilities
  • Coordinate business development activities, including managing capital improvement program information, incoming leads, follow-up, and tracking of opportunity status
  • Manage other responsibilities as assigned
  • Be an integrated Marketing Team member

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 5 years of related professional experience in the design industry
  • Experience researching, designing, writing, and producing business proposals, presentations, and other collateral
  • Knowledge of the business development proposal process (RFQ/P)
  • Superior writing skills, including ability to craft a story in a compelling manner
  • Advanced InDesign skills
  • Awareness of good information design and layout
  • Ability to manage multiple marketing efforts simultaneously, with constant attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively; at times, the specialist may coordinate with, supervise, or support peers to meet a deadline
  • Strong communication, organization, team-building, and relationship management skills
  • Strong client service skills
