What You’ll Do

As Marketing Specialist at Dashboard.Earth, you’ll play a pivotal role in executing marketing campaigns across various channels to drive user acquisition and engagement for our mobile app focused on climate action in Los Angeles. Collaborating closely with the Marketing Director and our Community Manager, you will be instrumental in implementing strategies to grow our user base and promote our mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive user acquisition and build brand awareness. You use your marketing expertise to design and execute campaigns that attract, engage, and retain our target users, aligning with our brand and growth objectives. Using numerous paid and organic channels, you implement strategies that not only increase downloads but also engage users to take climate action.
  • Develop creative assets. You lead the creation of marketing materials, including social media posts, email newsletters, blog articles, and video content. Working alongside our Marketing Director, Community Manager and external contractors, you develop compelling creative assets that resonate with our audience.
  • Analyze campaign performance. You monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and optimize strategies. Your analysis allows you to understand what’s working, what’s not, and iterate on strategies for continual improvement.
  • Support partnerships and community engagement. You know how to identify and nurture meaningful partnerships with relevant organizations, influencers, and community groups. You collaborate with our Community manager on the ground at events to you promote our app, expand our reach, and amplify our impact.
  • Speak to and for our users. You’re the institutional expert on our most important stakeholder: the user. Running surveys and user interviews, you gather insights on their demographics, psychographics, preferences and behavior, using this data to refine marketing strategies, user personas, and the product experience.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is deeply creative, highly organized, an excellent communicator, and ready to experiment. A track record driving growth in consumer mobile apps and digital experiences is a plus, but not a requirement.

  • Broad marketing expertise. You have proven experience in executing full-funnel marketing campaigns across multiple channels. Your familiarity with social media, email marketing, content marketing, product marketing and/or digital advertising sets you apart, and you have demonstrated mastery in at least one of these channels. Your proficiency in data analysis and reporting enables you to interpret campaign metrics, derive actionable insights, and improve ROI.
  • Deeply creative. Your strong creative skills allow you to develop engaging content and visuals. Experience with graphic design, video editing, or copywriting is desirable, using platforms like Figma, Adobe suite, and Customer.io.
  • Collaborative and compassionate. Your excellent communication and collaboration skills allow you to work effectively in a small team environment. Your willingness to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners contributes to achieving shared goals, using platforms like Notion, Slack and Google Suite.
  • Thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. You’re happiest working on scrappy teams with limited resources, and are excited to learn and move quickly. You’d rather test and iterate on a clear hypothesis than put a lot of resources into a perfectly crafted solution.
  • Passion for climate action. You have a genuine interest in our mission to promote climate action in Los Angeles (and beyond) and empower our community to make a positive impact. Your commitment to driving meaningful change fuels your dedication to the role.
