The Marketing Specialist role supports the overall marketing and customer experience direction for the Plumbing division and is focused on customer growth. The Marketing Specialist role responsible for activation of marketing plans for their respective regions and the product category they are aligned to. The Specialist will also support new branch openings, division-wide branch events and day-to-day communication with regional leadership. Our entire team strives to create the most valuable, innovative, and differentiated customer experience through our marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Transformative Brand Ownership:

  • Support and execute our strategic, end-to-end marketing strategy and value proposition for the division that aligns to the Reece brand and encompasses all channels (physical and digital).
  • Contribute to the delivery of the 2030 Vision and Strategic Priorities working in conjunction with the Chief Merchandising Officer, Marketing Director, and broader marketing team.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Regional VPs, Branch Managers, Category Management & Merchandising, Digital, and Corporate Communications) to support digital channels, in-branch customer experience, training, and engagement/adoption of new products and services in the sales process.
  • Create and execute content development and creative for traditional and digital assets, aimed at enhancing and differentiating the customer experience across all touchpoints, while supporting the network of branches with sales materials.
  • Drive innovation by consistently challenging of the status quo and remaining connected to emerging marketing and customer experience trends in customer insights, brand measurement, marketing automation, and data-driven creativity.

Key Roles And Responsibilities

Product Launches

  • Partner with Category Management & Merchandising Team as well as vendors to develop in-branch merchandising and stocking directions, training materials, and sales collateral.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans inclusive of in-branch marketing assets to successfully launch and position products.

New Branch Openings

  • Support Plumbing Division in bringing each new branch opening marketing strategy to life, assisting in completion of necessary action items in advance of new branch openings such as:
    • Awareness and demand generating marketing campaign activities.
    • Working with Branch Manager and creative agency to develop local store mural design.
    • Updating new branch opening materials such as promotional flyers and in-branch TV slide templates, which are used by new branch team to execute 3-month Customer Engagement strategy.
    • Ordering branded swag items for customer giveaways during 3-month Customer Engagement strategy.
    • In partnership with Regional Vice President, train new Branch Manager on the lead generation strategy and activities so new branches generate new business starting on day 1.

Email

  • Assist in the development and management of the Plumbing division email calendar, considering division priorities, business goals, promotions, product related messages, new branch openings and in-branch customer events.
  • Partner with Digital Email Marketing Manager to deploy emails on schedule.

Social Media

  • Assist in the development and management of the plumbing division social media content calendar.
  • Help create social content and assets, ensuring content is engaging, relevant and aligns with the brand.
  • Assist Plumbing Marketing Team in monitoring social media accounts for Plumbing division and actively respond to comments.
  • Track social media performance KPIs and provide reporting updates to as requested.

Online Listings

  • Manage online listings via 3rd party reputation management & listings platform.
  • Seek out and implement optimization opportunities for branch listings to ensure basic SEO best practices are being followed.
  • Monitor and respond to online reviews in a timely manner, while surfacing any operational or customer impacting reviews to Marketing Director.

Various Project Management And Execution Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the team through an agile, flexible, networked mindset that can deliver meaningful support at a fast pace without compromising deliverables.
  • Manage-up through weekly rhythms and statuses.
  • Remain engaged in an ethical and socially responsible manner with due consideration for the interests of all stakeholders including shareholders, employees, customers, suppliers and the communities in which Reece has operations.
  • Be collaborative and proactively seek and share information across divisions with peers and leadership.
  • Work day-to-day with creative agency partners.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Engage with other division marketing team members to create a strong team and holistic engagement practices and training.
  • Ownership of certain projects and product launches determined by Marketing Director.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Journalism/PR, Business, Communications or similar field of study. Open to other areas for the right candidate who posses the key capabilities listed above.
  • Able and willing to work primarily from the Reece USA Headquarters to help build relationships across the organization and foster a world class team culture environment. This is not a remote role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of professional working experience.
  • Proficient in digital communication channels.
  • Basic understanding of marketing channel strategies and techniques.
  • Basic understanding of how to use Adobe products such as Photoshop and InDesign AND a willingness or desire to become a creative expert.
