We are looking for an energetic, service-minded professional to serve as a Marketing Specialist! The role works directly with the business development and operations staff of our New York Metro Region to develop proposals to win new business. Responsibilities include preparing responses for RFPs and RFQs, developing presentations for interviews, writing sales sheets, maintaining project databases, and coordinating photo shoots. This person should be organized, have excellent writing and communication skills, be able to interact with many different people at all levels, and be a solid team player. Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with a high sense of urgency and attention to detail is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure business proposals are responsive to client request for proposals and qualifications and assist in developing marketing/sales strategy
  • Prepare client specific portfolio books and information packages
  • Create and maintain project descriptions for all jobs in internal database
  • Develop accurate individual and team resumes upon request
  • Help identify opportunities for press releases and creative assignments
  • Develop marketing collateral templates
  • Administrative, support, and production duties as necessary
  • Uphold Shawmut values and best practices

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ professional experience in advertising agency or marketing environment either in writing or project management capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator a plus
  • Expert knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Must have experience working in an office setting
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in writing in a professional, persuasive tone
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt messaging specific to the intended audience
  • Excellent project management and organization skills
