We are looking for a high-performing, results-oriented marketing generalist to join the Non-Durables marketing team within Procurement at Clark Associates. This position will play an important role in helping to plan, improve and implement overall marketing processes. The Marketing Specialist will provide essential team support to the Sr. Marketing & Brand Manager and assist in day-to-day activities including facilitation & execution of marketing strategies, customer insight analysis, and private label brand strategy coordination & execution. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical, execution and collaboration skills. In 2023, we reached $3.6B in sales from a catalog of 450K+ SKUs.
Job Responsibilities
- Communicates and collaborates with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to drive tactical implementation of paid and unpaid marketing initiatives for Non-Durables commodity through various distribution and marketing channels including WebstaurantStore (ecommerce), The Restaurant Store (cash & carry) and specialty sales channels.
- Assists in collecting and analyzing customer insight data through interviews, surveys, or panels to make recommendations for how to better serve current or potential customers in areas such as product development, product positioning, customer experience and marketing campaigns.
- Manages day-to-day execution of cross-channel marketing campaigns while maintaining the Non-Durables marketing calendar. Collaborates with internal stakeholders on product and pricing information as it relates to marketing promotions and sales.
- Assists in the preparation and setup of digital marketing campaigns and print marketing materials
- Assists in managing relationships with key vendor partners to develop and grow paid marketing strategies and plans through WebstaurantStore and The Restaurant Store through the following: marketing plan creation, coordination with internal teams to execute vendor promotions, performance data analysis, reporting & benchmarking, and coordinating marketing business review presentations.
- Coordinates and provides creative input with the marketing design and content teams to generate digital and print materials
- Aids in the proofing of marketing materials for both paid and unpaid promotions.
- Coordinates and executes on current private label brand strategies as well as assisting in ideation and creation of new non-durable private label brands.
- Identifies areas of improvement for cross-team and cross-department processes/workflows
Skills & Requirements
- 2-3 years’ experience in a marketing role with knowledge of key traditional & digital marketing activities including marketing strategy, campaign creation and customer segmentation
- Analytical and detail oriented
- Clear communicator with ability to effectively collaborate with wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Action oriented with ability to thrive in fast-paced work environment
- Excellent prioritization and planning skills
- Creative and innovative thinking, ability to find outside of the box solutions to problems
- Flexible and willing to adjust to a changing workload to ensure the Marketing team initiatives are completed in a timely manner
- Proficient in MS Office – strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are a plus
- Experience in Power BI or analytical platforms a plus
