The Digital Specialist collaborates with the Regional Marketing teams, Professional Services teams and Sales teams to sell and implement digital services strategies to support the growth of ecommerce, digital and loyalty penetration within UNFI’s independent base. The Digital Specialist is responsible for Digital Services sales and implementation and/or the implementation of tactics and promotions for the UNFI Digital Ad Network.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Key subject matter expert for digital programs and services including Loyalty, Digital Circular, eCommerce, including program tracking and retailer billing responsibilities.
  • Assist Digital Marketing Manager with program and vendor relationship management, conducting monthly status calls and providing relevant updates to Retail Marketing team.
  • Support digital program onboarding progress for digital programs and services such as Loyalty, Digital Circular, eCommerce and more.
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting monthly new digital business and retailer participation management.
  • Oversee implementation of new digital services marketing launch by working closely with UNFI Professional Services Marketing to market and train for sales opportunities (includes presenting webinars, email blasts, sell sheets).
  • Work with and support the Retail Marketing team in achievement of department sales targets and budgeted revenue and retained income.
  • Involvement with UNFI Media Network (UMN) program support, retailer onboarding, retailer communications, content management, and more as relevant.
  • Performs other relevant job duties as required.
  • Collaborate with regional Retail Marketing Business Development Managers and Account Managers on sales opportunities to grow Digital penetration within independent retailer base.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education/ Certifications: (Required/Preferred-list requirement is required or preferred)

  • BS in Marketing or related field.

Experience:

  • 2 years related experience in Digital Marketing
  • 2 years grocery marketing experience preferred
  • Experience in customer service
  • Sales experience preferred

Knowledge:

  • Experienced and knowledgeable in different digital medias such as ecommerce, loyalty, digital coupons, and web.
  • Knowledge and experience in search marketing, email marketing, content management, and retail media.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain working relationships with both internal and external parties and partners.
  • Proficient project management or project leadership, providing status updates, reports and post-project analysis.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in Excel a plus.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines while working under pressure.

  • Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:

  • Some travel may be required.
  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
  • Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
