The Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and execution of marketing programming within our stores and Store Support Center. This role is responsible for integrated planning of print messaging by facilitating the creative development of our internal design team and external agencies; evaluating and enhancing the in-store advertising process; and managing store attributes with third-party partners for store/market specific print signage support.

 

The Marketing Specialist will work closely with multiple business units including key business stakeholders to meet their promotional needs. Additionally, this role is responsible for developing the Monthly Action Plan (MAP) and coordinating store communication related to advertising and signage efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Brand Managers, Category Managers and CPG partners to create the monthly content for in-store marketing print materials.
  • Collaborate with agency partners and internal designers to project manage design of materials. Lead coordination, design feedback, production, and distribution of the monthly sign kit for all stores.
  • Manage store signage needs, including signage inventory.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain communication for store direction and execution, including the Monthly Action Plan (MAP) for all stores and field leadership.
  • Oversee store advertising budget by processing payments/invoices each month. Escalate discrepancies or matters of concern to leadership.
  • Research, develop, and implement process improvements and efficiencies for store signage merchandising support and training.
  • Provide advertising and signage support for stores and corporate team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, business or similar areas of emphasis; or equivalent years of experience directly related to marketing or communications is required.
  • At least three years of experience directly related to marketing or communications is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Strong problem solving, project management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Able to manage large amounts of complex data within Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to remain organized.
  • Ability to develop strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate integrity, high energy, initiative, and self-confidence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint.
  • May require limited travel to local stores for testing, measuring and prototyping (less than 5% of the time).
