The Marketing Specialist will be primarily responsible for the development and execution of downstream marketing activities in North America. The individual will work closely with the marketing team in daily management, business planning, near and long-term commercial strategy and execution, and other downstream functions such as product launches, events, dealer support, marketing literature and asset development in support of the Kerr operating company. They will collaborate with the sales organization to help deploy and train on brand strategy, field tactics, and clinical and technical training of key internal and external stakeholders.
They will collaborate closely with other cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Channel Management, and Distribution Partners to support revenue targets of dental consumables. They will develop and execute comprehensive marketing, business development, brand and external communication strategies, tactical plans and programs to optimize market share and profitability. Identifies, develops and maintains customer and partner relationships and meet service requirements. Leads market research to assess current and future market conditions, competitive product, service and pricing practices and changing customer/prospect dynamics in order to influence new product/service development. Other duties as assigned. This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the Brea, CA office.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Under minimal supervision, supports the company’s short and long-term commercial strategy and execution within downstream marketing including product launches, events, dealer support, marketing literature, and asset development.
- Develops programs and campaigns to drive engagement with internal and external audiences by working closely with Sales and Product Management.
- Assists in the commercial tactical planning and execution, including the development of marketing and sales tools to support existing and new product launches.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams such as Professional Education, Analytics, and Sales in measuring the Return on investment (ROI) of events and other marketing programs.
- Develops and executes digital marketing activities across social media, trade publications, email, paid search, and web/landing pages.
- Collaborates with Key Opinion Leaders, Product Management, R&D, Sales, Legal, and Regulatory Affairs in the creation and approval of marketing and sales assets.
- Participates in the communication, and sharing of marketing, sales tools, and best practices with European marketing counterparts as it relates to the operating company.
- Assists in marketing sponsorship and logistics for all major events and providing triage support to the Sales team.
- Stays abreast of marketing trends and continually fosters optimization and evolution of marketing strategies.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities under the Envista Business System (EBS) and supports the implementation of actions. Implements EBS tools into department activities and standard work.
- Travel up to 20% domestically
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of work experience in Marketing; regulated industry experience is a plus
- Willing to travel up to 20% travel to visit customers, tradeshows, dealer meetings, or other.
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in HubSpot (or similar) Smartsheet (or similar), Adobe Express (or similar), Adobe Workfront (or similar) preferred
- Good understanding of marketing (positioning, product development & commercialization, pricing, packaging, promotion) is preferred.
- Strong business acumen to champion the category among competing functions.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities with experience in analyzing market, financial and sales data, extracting relevant information and providing recommendations to improve results
- Proven ability to consult with internal customers to determine project objectives, design appropriate methodology, and prioritize, manage resources and timelines for multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional market research skills and comfortable in working with incomplete or nebulous data/information to develop coherent and structured outcomes for marketing sizing, market needs, segmentation, product positioning, etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate and influence a cross functional team.
- Effective time management skills to ensure on-time delivery of products.

At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
