We are seeking a skilled and experienced Portfolio Marketing Manager to join our team at 3E, a leading software company that supports intelligent compliance for workplace and product safety, product stewardship/sustainability, and supply chain. As a Portfolio Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to establish our brand position, drive demand, and accelerate sales for our portfolio of software products across a mix of our priority and emerging growth industry sectors and geographies.
In this role, you will work closely with our product management team to understand our offering’s core value, messaging, and buyer personae, and then develop customized positioning, messaging, content overall growth campaign strategies and define lead generation targets to meaningfully connect our offerings to target industries and buyer personae. You will develop and own industry and solution theme/buyer need level portfolio marketing plans – and collaborate with SMEs, product owners, and across the marketing teams in demand generation, events, brand marketing and communication, and creative to ensure alignment and to validate and execute against these plans.
What You’ll Be Doing!
- Marketing plan development: Facilitate the development of marketing plans that deliver and accelerate pipeline and establish and build our reputation in key industry sectors and with key target accounts.
- Portfolio positioning and messaging: Develop and refine buyer and industry-specific, compelling value-based messaging and positioning for our software product portfolio. Collaborate with product management and sales teams to ensure consistent and effective communication of our offerings.
- Campaign development and execution: Partner with the demand generation, events, brand, and content teams to plan, execute, and optimize integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital advertising, email marketing, social media, events, and content marketing. Work closely with content creators, designers, and external agencies to develop engaging and impactful marketing assets and touchpoints that support renewals, new customer acquisition, and account growth.
- Collateral and sales material development: Collaborate with product management, sales, and commercial enablement teams to develop sales tools, collateral, and training materials that effectively communicate the value of our software products. Ensure that sales teams are equipped with the necessary resources and knowledge to effectively engage prospects and sell our products.
- Market and buyer intelligence: Create and maintain buyer personae. Stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies and identify market opportunities. Conduct regular competitive analysis to understand our positioning and adjust marketing efforts accordingly.
- Collaboration and stakeholder management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and customer success, to align marketing efforts with business objectives. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and act as a trusted strategic partner on portfolio marketing strategies.
What Makes You A Great Fit!
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in portfolio marketing, product marketing, or related roles within the software industry.
- Strong knowledge of B2B marketing best practices, digital marketing strategies, and industry-specific content marketing.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and content.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, multitasking, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data and make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with ESG, EHS, and/or supply chain management terminology and trends is preferred.
- Experience working in a midsize software company or similar environment is a plus.
