As the Product Marketing Associate at AffiniPay, you will be heavily involved in driving customer engagement and product adoption through tailored marketing campaigns and product launches.

What You’ll Do:

  • Go-to-Market Planning and Strategy
    • You will assess each upcoming product and feature release and determine the optimal channels to deliver the message to market. Collaborating with your counterparts in marketing, you will set the timing of the assets and enter everything into a project plan in Asana.
    • Continuously connect and align on the product/feature with the target market. Work with the product manager to ensure the product is scoped to meet the needs of the target market. This is essential to select the proper launch channels to utilize for the launch.
    • Set metrics for success, track and report on results.
  • Sales Enablement
    • Work closely with the sales teams to understand the needs they have to sell the product.
    • Prepare and create collateral such as: competitive battlecards, internal sales FAQ, sales training presentation, external brochure/one-pager.
    • Conduct win/loss analysis by interviewing won and lost customers to better understand how to direct the sales team to position the product.
  • Persona Development and Messaging
    • Develop and refine/update the buyer personas for the target market by listening to customer sales calls, conducting online research, issuing surveys and interviewing when applicable. Collaborate with the UX team as needed.
    • Write and test messaging for these audiences.
  • Measurement & Optimization
    • Be responsible for key metrics: signups (through webpage or sales team), active product usage, trial to paid conversion metrics (including trial to churn analysis), upgrades, cross-sells, forecasted revenue to goal met, etc.
    • Inform relevant teams and work together to solve, ie: a sought after feature is not being used by new customers. Is it because they don’t know how to use it? They can’t find it? Work with the product team on help articles, tutorial videos, and post in-app based on certain actions. Monitor and revisit.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with Product Managers to understand the product roadmap and customer needs
    • Collaborate with Content and Design teams to develop compelling marketing programs
    • Work closely with Client Success to streamline the onboarding process and strong NPS ratings

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Accounting, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience – in Marketing, Accounting, Finance technology / software product preferred prior accounting or fintech experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A “builder” mentality with strong collaboration skills
  • Preferred experience with Salesforce, Asana, Mixed Panel, Tableau.
  • Strong analytical skills paired with curiosity to understand any and all product engagement behavior to understand the customer holistically.
  • Ability to professionally and efficiently collaborate and communicate across and up the organization of stakeholders (product management, sales team, marketing).
