This role will serve as the leader of product marketing for the Marketing Originations functions of the company. Mr. Cooper is the largest, non-bank mortgage servicer in the United States and this role will lead mortgage product marketing across our home purchase products home refinance products and our new Home Equity product line, which is a leader in the industry. This role will execute on enterprise strategy and product marketing platforms that are key to the growth and efficiency of the organization. Deep expertise in mortgage products and technology is required. Additional expertise across multiple financial services products like banking, insurance, investments, digital payments, and FinTech is preferred.
This role will take a hands-on approach to product performance, research, product testing and product financials—especially lending products. This role is both a strategist and an operator and will report directly the VP of Marketing Strategy, with direct daily access to the CMO. This role will collaborate with the marketing leadership team to set long-term product strategy and delivering daily results for growth by leveraging cutting edge tools, technology, testing, and platforms. Regular analysis of competitor rates, offerings, marketing, and product updates will be key to the success of this role. Meaningful daily, weekly, and monthly competitive intelligence reports will be produced by this individual.
Product marketing will require expertise into both home lending and other consumer lending products as well and deep and proven expertise in product strategy, product marketing, and competitive intelligence. The ideal candidate will have used top industry tools for competitive intelligence research and product research and testing.
The Principal of Product Marketing will work directly with senior executives across the organization including: sales, finance, marketing, creative, IT, and analytics. In addition, this role may be asked to oversee external agencies and research firms to assist Mr. Cooper in all product marketing strategies for B2C financial services. Key responsibilities include:
- Product Strategy & Execution: Creating long-term strategic priorities for financial product features, benefits, value propositions and competitive positioning.
- Oversight: Day-to-day oversight of current product marketing campaigns and projects. Oversee product updates and forecast to ensure growth.
- Partnership: Partnering across the enterprise to ensure consistent use of product marketing, sales and delivery for seamless customer experience.
- Performance Leadership: A passion for growing customer engagement to improve product lead generation and take rate.
- Technology integration and innovation with other relevant web properties like Xome, Zillow, Redfin, MLS and others.
- Expertise with Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax data and analytics is key.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Business or Technology preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Deep experience with product and marketing platforms. Home Leading, Mortgage and/or financial services experience strongly desired.
- Expertise in many forms of competitive intelligence gathering.
- Strong presentation skills and strategic direction based on these findings.
- Candidate would ideally be familiar with Gartner, Forrester and other product intelligence firms and platforms.
- Strong knowledge of major marketing channels and tools.
- Knowledge the mortgage landscape, ability to identify and provide assessment on the top 10 players and their strengths and weaknesses.
- Ability to work collaboratively with managers, senior leaders, and subject matter experts.
- Unparalleled attention to detail, follow-up, and follow-through while managing multiple priorities.
- Proven history of developing and delivering high-impact presentations to executives in a large and complex organization.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and listening skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
