As the Product Marketing Manager you will have shown execution at the Senior Manager or Director level and own the end-to-end GTM success of our cloud and self-hosted product offerings. Key elements to the success of this role include: partnering across Marketing, Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Product Management to prioritize and orchestrate key GTM activities. To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives to drive customer adoption, monetization, and retention of one or more technical products, particularly for high-tech companies with subscription and/or SaaS/Cloud business models. You will need to be an excellent communicator who can think strategically, is creative, analytical, and an eager self-starter who is comfortable working in a rapidly growing company with a fast-paced working environment.

 

In this role you will…

  • Develop the buyer personas and journey which define and inform the customer value proposition for GTM strategies, plans and programs

  • Drive cross-functional product launches and marketing campaigns, ensuring the Sales and other GTM teams are properly enabled to execute

  • Assess the effectiveness of GTM initiatives, leveraging analytics and benchmarking for data-driven prioritization, and create action plans to drive product discovery

  • Collaborate with Partnerships to define and execute ecosystem partner GTM plans, collateral, and joint marketing programs

  • Create GTM collateral, sales material and contribute to competitive intelligence information to drive demand and sales team enablement

  • Help understand and establish the best product pricing and packaging

  • Leverage key customer insights and data to develop accurate, relevant and impactful messaging, and work with internal and partner teams to ensure its implementation across all channels

  • Build relevant sales plays, customer use cases, stories, and references that exemplifies our value prop to help accelerate the sales cycle

  • Be a subject matter expert and evangelist for the solution through social media amplification, analyst and public relations programs and at corporate and third-party events

  • Craft compelling persona-based messaging and sales assets to convey the value of Upbound’s product to our prospects and customers

  • Identify any product gaps inhibiting GTM success for Universal Crossplane and Upbound Cloud and work with Product Management to inform and prioritize customer needs into the roadmap

You are a good fit if you have…

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise software (subscription and/or SaaS/Cloud) GTM Product Marketing

  • Taken one or more new, highly technical SaaS, infrastructure or cloud centric products to market

  • Good breadth of knowledge in and around the cloud native or infrastructure ecosystem, especially within the Kubernetes space

  • Distinctive problem-solving, strategic, and analytical capabilities

  • Proven success navigating and succeeding in a fast-paced, dynamic, hyper-growth business environment

  • A track record of building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders

  • Strong communications skills – both synchronous and asynchronous

  • Demonstrated record of working both independently and with a team to own cross-functional initiatives and exceed performance expectations & metrics

A plus if you…

  • Have experience bringing an open source project or product to market

  • Prior experience with hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, GCP) based route-to-market motions is a significant plus.
