Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy and Development:
    • Design and implement scalable content strategies across multiple organizations and audiences.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain internal and external training resources, communications, and digital interactives.
    • Create and promote a standardized style guide and narrative, ensuring adherence to the corporate brand tone and voice.
  • Team and Knowledge Management:
    • Manage a team of Learning Experience Designers to develop and maintain knowledge bases, communication campaigns, in-app content, and business-facing materials.
    • Customize digital training solutions to address business problems and improve training and communication processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships with internal departments, including business leaders, managers, technical resources, and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with functional organizations to develop specifications for training content and curriculums.
    • Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), business owners, executives, and developers to identify and execute training programs.
  • Training Development and Facilitation:
    • Develop and update training curriculums and supporting documentation.
    • Facilitate training programs, including live classroom sessions, webinars, and online courses.
  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement:
    • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of training programs and learner performance.
    • Identify areas for operational improvement and promote quality achievement and performance improvement.
    • Act as a role model for learners and other team members.
  • Research and Needs Assessment:
    • Research the effectiveness of various digital communication forms for training and internal communications.
    • Conduct assessments to identify development needs and recommend appropriate training methods.
  • Knowledge Management:
    • Manage internal and external knowledge bases and implement improvements based on industry standards and evolution.
  • Continuous Learning and Adaptability:
    • Continuously learn and apply new skills to ensure business success.
  • Legal Compliance and Miscellaneous:
    • Follow legal policies and perform other duties as required by management.
    • Represent the company’s culture to the rest of the organization.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • UX Principles: Familiarity with basic UX principles and best practices
  • Instructional Design: Familiarity with ADDIE methodology
  • Design Tools: Knowledge of Figma, Basic image editing skills (Snagit or Photoshop), Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator a plus)
  • Management: Management experience, Product management experience preferred
  • Writing and Editing: Ability to create microcopy, Advanced skills in grammar and copy editing, technical writing skills
  • Adult Learning: Proven understanding of adult learning theories and methodologies
  • Web Development: Proficiency in basic webpage code and design preferred (HTML, CSS), Knowledge of front-end development a plus
  • Digital Tools: Familiarity with page building, document storage, and knowledge base management, Familiarity with Google Analytics (ability to search for basic reporting on pages, and interpret results)
  • User Research: User journey mapping, User research
  • Videography: Basic videography (Camtasia, PowToon)
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Familiarity with SharePoint
    • 1 to 3 years of experience in training and development
    • E-commerce industry knowledge is preferred
    • Able to travel 10%-40% of the time
