Position Overview
J.Crew is seeking a strategic, creative, and highly organized Senior Associate, Social Media to lead the development and execution of our social media presence across all digital platforms. This role plays a critical part in shaping how our brand is perceived online, driving meaningful engagement, growing our digital community, and supporting broader marketing and business objectives.
The Senior Associate, Social Media will be responsible for building and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy that increases brand awareness, strengthens audience relationships, drives website traffic, and contributes to revenue growth. This role requires a balance of creativity and analytical thinking—someone who can craft compelling content while also interpreting performance data to continuously optimize results.
Community Management is a core responsibility of this position. Beyond publishing content, the Senior Associate, Social Media will actively cultivate and nurture our online community by engaging in conversations, responding to comments and direct messages, managing brand sentiment, and creating an inclusive and interactive digital environment. The ideal candidate understands that social media is not just a broadcast channel, but a relationship-building tool that requires responsiveness, authenticity, and consistency.
This role will collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, customer experience, creative, and product teams to ensure alignment in messaging and to surface insights gathered from our community. The Senior Associate, Social Media will also stay ahead of platform updates, industry trends, and cultural moments to keep our brand relevant and competitive in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Planning
- Assist in developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business goals.
- Create monthly content plans and calendars.
- Identify opportunities for growth, engagement, and audience expansion.
- Stay current on trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies.
Content Creation & Publishing
- Contribute to the ideation and execution of engaging, high-quality content.
- Work with copy teams to adapt tone of voice for each platform.
- Autonomously ideate, produce, and edit TikTok culturally relevant content.
- Support PR and event teams in content creation to amplify campaign effectiveness.
- Schedule and publish content across relevant social platforms.
Community Management
- Actively monitor all social media channels for comments, messages, mentions, and conversations.
- Foster meaningful interactions and build strong relationships with followers.
- Proactively engage with audiences, partners, and industry conversations.
- Identify and escalate sensitive issues when necessary.
- Gather community insights and feedback to inform marketing and product teams.
Campaign Management & Growth
- Plan and execute organic content through a trend-forward, social-first lens.
- Partner with performance marketing teams to optimize and maintain paid social efforts.
- Collaborate with the influencer team to maximize brand sentiment and visibility.
- Run contests, activations, and community-driven initiatives.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track, analyze, and report on KPIs including engagement, reach, growth, conversions, and sentiment.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on performance data.
- Continuously optimize content and strategy based on results.

Salary Range: $80,800.00 – $100,400.00

The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The base salary is just one component of J.Crew Group’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes the opportunity for bonus, competitive benefits and perks.
