Role Overview/Team
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Content Strategist who is passionate about creating best-in-class marketing content that attracts, engages, and retains customers. Because Gen has exciting new stories to tell about each of our award-winning brands, we need a tech-savvy creative to tell them. You’ll create data-driven, high-converting content across multiple platforms and marketing channels as you drive brand awareness and customer engagement. You’ll play a key role on our diverse and dynamic marketing design team.
Mission and Goal
You’ll help keep our customers cyber safe while delivering clear, engaging, and impactful marketing content. The goal is to produce content that drives engagement, strengthens our brands, and delivers measurable results across digital channels.
Objectives:
- Drive the content strategy and craft clear and compelling content for various marketing channels including web content, product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with marketing teams, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align on content strategy and implement successful solutions.
- Drive A/B testing that illuminates customer preferences and provides actionable data.
- Partner with the SEO team to provide copy that improves visibility and website traffic.
- Transform business objectives into brand-strengthening content that drives engagement and delivers results.
- Update content on a regular basis using feedback from stakeholders, colleagues, and customers.
- Research industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor analysis to inform and enhance content strategies.
- Present and defend content strategy and solutions to internal and external audiences of all levels.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of all copy as well as adherence to each brand’s style, voice, and tone.
- Finalize content in consultation with the legal and localization teams.
Competencies:
- At least 5 years of experience writing and editing marketing copy, especially for web and technology environments.
- Strong portfolio and/or writing samples demonstrating a range of winning content across a variety of media.
- Solid understanding of marketing strategies and deep experience in A/B testing.
- Exceptional writing skills with a strong command of grammar, syntax, and vocabulary.
- Proficiency in adapting writing styles to match different brand voices and target audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Facility for working both independently and collaboratively with colleagues across the organization and in multiple time zones.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with AI tools and experience integrating them into content strategy and copywriting workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Four-year degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent experience.
