mdg is a marketing and PR agency with head, heart and passion for what we do – delivering measurable results for association and event clients in diverse categories like education, healthcare, technology, energy, cupcakes, cheese curls and craft beer (we’ll explain those last three later). We’re now seeking a savvy senior account/marketing director to join our collaborative marketing team in our Chicago office. As an agency, we value both human interaction and flexibility – our current hybrid work model requires 2 days per week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Act as primary liaison between agency and client. Manage accounts autonomously and proactively address client needs
- Participate in initial campaign kick-off meeting with new clients
- Lead strategic marketing meetings, client presentations and other client meetings
- Collaborate with account and creative teams as well as specialists to execute results-driven campaigns
- Ensure brand and messaging consistency throughout campaign deliverables and evaluate copy and design to ensure they’re strategically on track
- Analyze campaign performance to ensure client goals are achieved and recommend appropriate course corrections
- Monitor campaigns to ensure execution is within budget and manage schedules so all projects remain on time
Requirements
- 8+ years marketing experience, including 5+ years agency, B2B events and/or association experience
- Experience managing direct reports, and ability to lead an internal marketing team
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, psychology or general business strongly preferred
