The Senior Performance Marketing Strategist is an experienced marketing analytics professional who works independently to perform complex data analyses and derive insights that drive MGB marketing and communications strategies and initiatives. They are an analytical thinker who is passionate about using data to tell an insight-driven story and who can distill and communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences.
The Senior Performance Marketing Strategist is also a strong team player who forms collaborative relationships with marketing areas across the MGB system and with individual hospital teams to achieve business objectives.
The Senior Performance Marketing Strategist’s scope of work includes strategy-driving data investigation and analysis; development of campaign measurement strategies, particularly as it relates to marketing ROI; and development of regular ROI reports showing the direct financial and business impact of marketing activities.
The Senior Performance Marketing Strategist serves as a data/analytics partner to their peers in marketing and communications; ensures others have a solid understanding of the financial impact of performance of marketing activities; derives insights from data and informs marketing activities from start to finish.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Organize qualitative and quantitative clinical, financial and market data from multiple sources (e.g., EPSi, Sg2, HDI, etc.) to synthesize results into meaningful reports and enhance marketing strategy and operations. Individual is responsible for quality assurance of data, quality control of outputs, and adherence to MGB compliance standards. She/he/they will become an expert on the relationship between the Epic patient record and how it flows through our data resources, and influences our analytic outputs.
- Partner with marketing and communications teams and other system teams/leaders to synthesize and leverage business data that informs the development of marketing strategies.
- Lead financial/business analyses to identify priority programs, conditions, procedures to focus investment of marketing resources and paid media.
- Analyze, interpret and communicate healthcare market conditions, market share, geographies and forecasts to identify growth opportunities and inform marketing approach
- Lead the development and ongoing evolution of Marketing ROI reports, methodologies and predictive modeling strategy.
- Using marketing and business data sets, create regular marketing ROI reports for all active marketing campaigns. Outputs will include data tables and visualizations.
- Collaborate with MarCom colleagues to derive marketing strategy implications from campaign/margin reporting – channels, trends, growth, opportunity – to maximize impact of marketing investments.
- Create custom measurement strategies that demonstrate campaign impact and effectiveness, including data modeling and projections where necessary.
- Consult and participate in building a marketing technology infrastructure that leverages data and analytics to report on both upstream and downstream metrics
- Partner closely with MGB Business Planning and other MGB departments to liaise on system market, financial data and measurement initiatives, ensuring information and learnings are seamlessly shared and leveraged
- Partner with MGB Marcom and other MGB departments to evaluate annual US News Rankings and methodology
- Analyze annual hospital and service line rankings in relation to previous years
- Self-educate and identify the YoY changes in ranking methodology that may have impacted rankings
- Create modeling scenarios that assist in driving marketing strategy decisions for US News campaign efforts
- Serve as an expert in the various data sources available across the system, including which data sets would be most helpful in informing strategy for a specific campaign or initiative

Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in marketing analytics, market analysis, or resource/business planning, preferably in a healthcare setting .
- B.A. or B.S. required.
- Expert knowledge of data tools and systems; willingness to learn new systems

Working Conditions
- Possible local travel to Mass General Brigham sites
