Job Summary

The Senior Product Marketing Manager will serve as a business owner of assigned Paycor products and services. Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional team, where you will partner closely with decision makers in Product and Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Implementation and Learning. The role will work across the product lifecycle, from market testing, to driving launch and commercialization and to growing product adoption post-launch.


The Senior Product Marketing Manager will need to be creative, analytical and collaborative and must be able to develop an understanding of the buying segments, audiences and their needs, acting as the subject matter expert (SME) who transfers knowledge about Paycor’s products and services. Core to this role will be properly positioning and ensuring the value of the products are communicated to the market to reach aggressive growth goals.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Translate product capabilities into sales and marketing initiatives, generate customer insights that inform Paycor’s product strategy, lead go-to-market strategy for our suite of products and drive rapid growth
  • Develop strategy and execute plans to increase penetration of assigned core products
  • Create and execute launch plans for new products as assigned as well as establish recommendations for pricing and bundling strategy
  • Drive market research initiatives to gain a deeper understanding of Paycor’s target market & build user personas that will enhance our team s ability to position our products, demonstrate our value, and engage with prospects where they are most likely to be open to our message
  • Create Paycor product scorecards monitoring sales performance and revenue of key products and communicate results to appropriate stakeholders with an increased awareness of areas of improvement
  • Manage product update communications and deliverables for Paycor customers, prospects and partners
  • Develop a consistent and compelling story and positioning statements around the value of each assigned product so sellers are prepared to win against the competition and provide recommendations for Paycor’s thought leadership strategy
  • Create selling tools to better market products throughout the funnel to ensure the value and differentiators are properly demonstrated
  • Conduct internal product training for sales and create and deliver product webinars for customers, prospects and partners
  • Work with product and sales operations to perform win/loss analysis to increase retention obtain valuable stakeholder feedback and increase product value
  • Advocate for our existing and prospective users, be informed about our competitive landscape, and become the go-to expert for your product area to help shape the product roadmap and strategy

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and years of experience
  • Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in marketing, product marketing, product management or related experience
  • At least 4-5 years of B2B product marketing or go-to-market experience is SaaS companies is preferred
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels with proven experience in influencing decision makers
  • Comfortable working with data and insights to generate balanced and thoughtful points of view for how to take Paycor products to market
  • Positive, professional and self-motivated to build relationships and to drive work at pace and to conclusion
  • Proven success in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach
  • Ability to function independently, requiring minimal oversight
  • Ability to negotiate with others to reach agreements/ solutions that meet internal needs
  • Motivated by solving new challenges and problems
  • Highly-enthusiastic, passionate, curious, confident and tenacious (particularly in regard to making the work better)
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and change management skills
