We are seeking a creative and analytical-minded Social Media Content and Performance Marketer who will play an important role in content development, performance measurement, optimization, and be responsible for maintaining overall health of Whole Foods Market’s organic social presence. You will collaborate closely within the Organic Social Team and internal and other stakeholders to bring insight, data and trend-driven ideas to life in a way that earns the brand attention and drives our business.

Responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert for all social platforms (specifically Facebook, Instagram, Threads and TikTok), driving innovation and new ideas.
  • Support Senior Strategist in executing comprehensive social media marketing content strategy aligned with department goals and company objectives.
  • Contribute ideas in regular monthly and real-time organic social content planning sessions.
  • Assist with organic and paid social pre/post-production needs (retouching/editing, graphic treatments, adding text overlay, trending audio and/or royalty free music, etc.).
  • Ensure consistency and quality in messaging and branding across all social media platforms.
  • Occasionally conceptualize, shoot, edit and route real-time organic social content (primarily for TikTok) for approvals.
  • Schedule, publish and QA content manually or in CMS (Sprinklr).
  • Manage intake for content support requests stemming from various internal and external teams.
  • Contribute optimizations for social planning, content creation, and engagement efforts.
  • Maintain social listening and content reporting dashboards in Sprinklr, tracking against benchmarks and pulling inputs to contribute to reports on a weekly, monthly and ad hoc basis as needed.
  • Help compile performance results, trends over time and actionable insights, as well as the impact of optimizations to inform strategy iteration and future content direction.
  • Collaborate with Consumer Insights to provide inputs for larger quarterly social listening reports from our third-party partner.
  • Stay current on emerging social media tools, technologies, trends and developments.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ relevant professional experience in social media planning, content creation, and measurement at a retail corporation or agency.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • In depth understanding of how key social media platforms and their respective algorithms work, specifically to drive engagement and brand advocacy.
  • Experience with SMMS, intelligence, content management and reporting tools, like Sprinklr, using them to translate insights into content and channel optimizations.
  • Have a history of being able to work with creative teams and strategists.
  • High aesthetic standards and creative judgment and understanding of how to story-tell on social media.
  • Innate curiosity with strong analytical and math skills.
  • Capable and driven to quickly learn new things and continually expand skill set
  • Proactive problem-solving skills: ability to anticipate obstacles and quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas, changing course as needed.
  • Excellent personal organization skills with extraordinary attention to detail.
  • Competent in personal time management and self-managing deadlines.
  • Thoughtful communicator with polished verbal and written skills.
  • Exemplary work ethic and disciplined thinking are a must.
