Social Media Coordinator Overview:
The Social Media Coordinator is a creative and detail-oriented professional responsible for crafting, scheduling, and analyzing content across our social media platforms. This role supports the Social Media Manager in executing a dynamic social media strategy, ensuring that all posts are engaging, platform-specific, and aligned with our brand’s voice. Experience in content creation, copywriting for diverse platforms, and a strong grasp of social media strategy are essential.
The duties listed below are examples of the various assignments that may be performed:
Content Creation & Copywriting:
- Develop, draft, and tailor social media copy for various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) ensuring consistency with brand voice and best practices.
- Create and schedule engaging posts, graphics, and video content that align with current social media trends.
Social Media Strategy & Execution:
- Assist in the development and execution of the overall social media strategy under the direction of the Social Media Manager.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics to evaluate content impact and suggest improvements.
Collaboration & Engagement:
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to generate innovative ideas for content that drives community engagement.
- Engage with the online community by responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
Digital Campaign Support:
- Support social media campaigns and assist with livestreaming and other event-related social media activities.
- Maintain an up-to-date content calendar and ensure all social media initiatives are aligned with upcoming events and campaigns.
Quality Assurance & SEO:
- Review and prepare content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with the precinct’s brand standards.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to implement strategies that boost online visibility and drive website traffic.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support, including data entry and correspondence related to social media operations.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to support event coverage and time-sensitive initiatives.
- Other duties may be required as needed.

Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
OR
- Two (2) to five (5) years of professional experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing
Other skills and abilities:
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools.
- Proficient in digital content creation tools such as Canva and Sprout Social.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
