F1 Miami Grand Prix
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for leading channel management across Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, and the Miami Open while overseeing content brainstorming and ideation in partnership with our in-house creative team. The ideal candidate is a team-first self-starter with a deep understanding of how people consume and engage with social content, an eye for detail, and who stays up-to-date on emerging platforms, industry trends, and best practices. This role would manage a social media coordinator and report to the Director of Social Media.
Location:
- This is a full-time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.
Responsibilities
- Lead weekly strategy on Miami Dolphins Properties accounts and platforms while managing a Social Media Coordinator.
- Have a strong passion for sports, with deep knowledge and expertise in Formula 1 and Tennis.
- Build social media strategy plans defining: Brand objectives, KPI’s, Tone of voice, content pillars, role of social platforms, content calendar.
- Develop and plan content calendar to ensure that our brand stays top of mind and consistent on platforms we are active on (Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit)
- Utilize analytics to track and optimize growth and engagement across social channels, adapt content strategies to match needs of everchanging platform algorithms.
- Work with Director of Social Media and Partnerships team to determine sellable content and execute contracted content.
- Monitor trends and work with Marketing team to create timely content (organic and branded), provide recommendations on how to incorporate this content into content strategies.
- Demonstrate sound judgment to curate, prioritize, and publish posts that are consistent with brand messaging, but also with an eye to expand and engage our audiences.
- Collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders to provide direction and social recommendations in partnership with the Marketing team.
- Generate social analytics reports using measurement tools to provide to departments tailored to their specific needs.
- Attend and cover races, games, major community initiatives, events, and more with the goal to publish engaging content that captures fans attention.
- Monitor emerging platforms and help brainstorm new ways to leverage them for brand development.
- Develop shot sheet ahead of game days and tentpole events.
- Understand and follow social policies for the Formula 1 and WTA/ATP.
- Understand the Influencer environment / Creator economy, managing activations with Influencers, their agents and/or social agencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree with 3-4 years of relevant work experience
- Self-starter and a forward thinker with a desire to collaborate in a team-based culture.
- Strong understanding of Formula 1 and/or Tennis
- Must be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge base of social media platforms
- Openness to work long days, holidays, and weekends, to be on-call out of traditional working hours.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact professionally.
- Familiar with programs such as AirTable, Adobe Creative Cloud, Emplifi, Facebook Ads Manager
- Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
