Overview

Reporting to the Head of Content and Creative, the Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing, producing, and publishing engaging content across social platforms to drive brand awareness, engagement, and cultural relevance. This role will serve as the primary liaison between internal brand stakeholders and external agency partners, ensuring that all social media content aligns with brand strategy, voice, and objectives . This role requires a balance of channel knowledge, creative production, communication, and project management, along with an ability to keep pace with an ever-evolving social landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Social Content Production:
  • Collaborate with the Head of Content and Creative who will own social content strategies that align with brand objectives and marketing campaigns.
  • Move these content strategies into activation plans to produce, and adapt multimedia content (video, photo, graphics) for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube.
  • Stay informed on social media trends, emerging platforms, and creative best practices to ensure relevance and engagement.
  • Optimize content for performance and platform-specific requirements.
  • Agency & Partner Management:
  • Oversee external agency partners, freelancers, and production vendors to ensure quality, timeliness, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Act as the main point of contact between the brand and agency teams, clearly communicating goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Review and ensure brand stakeholders and Head of Content and Creative approve creative concepts and final content prior to publication to ensure compliance with brand guidelines.
  • Manage external content partners and creators ( i.e. Barstool, etc.) to drive timelines, deliverables, and on-brief asset creation.
  • Brand Liaison & Governance:
  • Maintain brand integrity across all social content and campaigns.
  • Translate brand strategy into actionable creative briefs for partners and platforms.
  • Ensure all messaging reflects the correct tone, voice, and positioning of the brand.
  • Publishing & Community Management:
  • Schedule and publish content using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, native platform tools) and/or oversee content calendars with partners and platforms to ensure on-time posting schedules.
  • Monitor channels for engagement opportunities, brand mentions, and community growth.
  • Analytics & Performance Reporting:
  • Track, measure, and analyze performance of social content to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
  • Provide monthly and campaign-specific reports with actionable insights for improving engagement and ROI.
  • Influencer & Partnership Activation:
  • Coordinate influencer collaborations and user-generated content initiatives.
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and content approval processes for influencer campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing , Communications, or a related field.
  • CPG experience focused on influencer, social, and creative activations.
  • 2+ years of experience producing and managing content for social media,
  • 5+ years of brand management or agency with brand leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of social platforms and a pulse on cultural relevance
  • Experience managing external agencies, partners, and platforms.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Familiarity with social analytics and reporting tools (Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, Google Analytics) a plus .
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
