Position Overview
The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing social media strategies to build our online presence, drive engagement, and create a loyal community around the Mercedes-Benz brand. You will work closely with our marketing, sales, and service teams to produce compelling content, monitor performance, and adapt strategies based on analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain our dealership’s social media accounts across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
Develop and execute creative social media campaigns that align with the dealership’s brand voice and marketing objectives.
Create, edit, and curate high-quality visual and written content, including videos, photos, graphics, and captions.
Stay updated on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to optimize performance.
Collaborate with the sales, service, and marketing teams to promote dealership events, special offers, and new vehicle launches.
Monitor and engage with the online community, responding to comments, questions, and messages in a timely manner.
Track and analyze key performance metrics (engagement, reach, conversions, etc.) to continuously improve social media strategies.
Implement social media advertising campaigns, including audience targeting and budget management.
Conduct regular competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and competitors.
Foster relationships with local influencers and collaborate on content that drives dealership visibility.
Ensure all content is consistent with the brand image and meets the standards of Mercedes-Benz and the Murgado Automotive Group.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing, preferably in the automotive or luxury retail industry.
Strong knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
Proven ability to create engaging content, including photography, videography, and graphic design.
Proficiency in social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.) and analytics platforms.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A strong understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for digital marketing and luxury brands.
Experience with paid social media campaigns is a plus.
A degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is preferred but not required.
