We are hiring a Sr. Director, Marketing. The Sr. Director, Marketing will oversee the entire marketing department. This includes developing annual and mid-range plans, strategies, and activities for the departments within the life science business. Is responsible for driving brand awareness which leads to customer acquisition, revenue growth and organizational success.

Responsibilities

  • Department of structure and personnel: Within annual marketing strategy evaluates effectiveness of marketing activities, personnel, and structure within approved budgets. Building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage and oversee the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develops and executes comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives to drive business growth and market capture.
  • Market Analysis: Thorough market analysis identifies opportunities, customer needs, competitive positioning (Three “C”s), and emerging trends in the life sciences sector. Uses this data as the basis for marketing strategy and tactics within annual and mid-range plans.
  • Brand Management: Oversees the evolution of the FISI brand strategy within Life Science Business Department(s) to ensure consistent messaging which expands awareness and enhances brand effectiveness.
  • Public Relations: Through Marcom group, develops and manages public relations strategies, including media relations, press releases, and crisis management to maintain a positive company image.
  • Product Positioning: Through Marketing staff, defines and refines product positioning and messaging (Four “P’s”) to effectively communicate the unique value of FUJIFILM’s life science products and services.
  • Content Development: Oversees the creation of high-quality, relevant content across various platforms to educate and engage our target audience
  • Lead Generation: Leads the development and implementation of lead generation strategies and campaigns that drive qualified leads which support the sales pipeline.
  • Marketing Analytics: Utilize data and analytics to measure the performance of marketing campaigns, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing efforts.
  • Sales Collaboration: Presents to Sales Leadership the field execution plan and resource deployment required to achieve business line plans. Collaborates closely with Sales management and regional leadership to develop and provide tools, training, and insights that enhance sales effectiveness and drive revenue growth.
  • Customer Experience: Enhance customer experience by developing and promoting customer-centric marketing strategies and programs.
  • Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, content marketing, social media, and email campaigns to increase online presence and engagement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key liaison between the marketing department and other internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective communication of marketing strategies and outcomes across the organization.
  • Internal Communication: Develop and implement strategic communication plans to convey the company’s mission, vision, and values to employees, driving engagement and fostering a cohesive organizational culture.

Required Skills/Education

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field is required, though a master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of marketing experience in the life sciences or biotechnology sector
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies
  • Extensive experience with market analysis and customer segmentation
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience with digital marketing and modern marketing tools
  • Demonstrated ability to drive brand growth and increase market share
  • Sales and marketing principals and a technical background.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Excellent communication skills including oral, written and presentation techniques.

Salary and Benefits:

  • For California, the base salary range for this position is $154,577 to $278,358 annually. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
